Possibly knock down Cotto but I very much doubt he'd have knocked him out. Floyd's smaller than each opponent bar Marquez who doesn't get stopped.

Only Mosley imo. Sugar Shane was getting hurt often as the rounds went on and was throwing nothing; Floyd really should have got him out of there.

Floyd never known as a great finisher tho he does have the power to hurt opponents and knock down smaller ones, it wouldnt be likely. I think Mosley tho surviving had the oldest legs of the group if Floyd had power and walk him down a stoppage could of been very possible. Pacman despite having power doesnt know how to cut a ring off. Floyd does know how to cut a ring off, but lacked the power to bring Mosley down or seriously hurt him, but a ref or corner stoppage could of been more realistic if Mosley took many clean shots.

Marquez for sure, but he wanted to go 12 to get the rust off.

Mosley i think yes but who knows given his chin. Mosley did look tired though.

I think he was trying to KO Cotto but just couldn't do it.

I don't think he could've KOed Baldomir no matter what at that point of his career.

yeah, Floyd threw more shots and stood right in front of Cotto. He had Cotto hurt a few times, I don't remember the rounds. If he had a little more or was younger I think he could have stopped Him. Its always easier to say what you could have should have done after the fight. It isn't so easy to stop these elite fighters. Floyds always been a safety first type fighter, if he gets you hurt he's not just going to go guns blazing he is a calculating fighter. You could say he lacks the killer instinct to take guys out.

:rofl, funny thread. Floyd is a great fighter, but even I know he gives it 100% every fight even if it is against a fat ass, an old guy, a faded fighter, and a guy with 9 losses. Come on people..... don't go so overboard on the nut hugging.

If floyd had gotten marquez and mosley out of there they would be amazing wins. Mosley has an iron chin and marquez has iron recovery.

Make no mistake, Floyd was trying ko Cotto. No way did he want Pac to have a better victory over him, regardless of weights. That being said, imo, floyd is a masterful boxer, not a knockout artist.

Mayweather is one of those guys who is better than he thinks he is. With his speed he could have knocked out guys. SRL had speed which was turned into knockout power. But Ray committed more to going for knockouts and taking on tougher competition. The difference between Ray and Floyd is Ray is a little bigger, but Ray had confidence in himself and was willing to test his skills. But they are comparable is skill.
