Mayweather Undercard: Khan, Broner all but confirmed.

That's because Alvarez was the better opponent than Maidana is now and because Garcia/Matthysse was one of the best fights to make in all of boxing.

Doesn't mean this card isn't good compared to the usual PPV. It clearly will be more entertaining top to bottom than most of the PPV's in recent years.

 

You'd think Mares or Santa Cruz would have gotten a spot.

But Broner is Floyd's boy, Khan is perhaps Floyd's next opponent, and Love is Floyd's promoted fighter so it is a very logical choice of which three fighters will appear in separate fights on the undercard.

Should be Khan-Broner.

Or Khan vs. Thurman, Guerrero, Matthysse or Porter.

and Broner vs. Guerrero, Thurman, Porter, or Matthysse.

 

meh. That last card just has me spoilt.

Don't get me wrong, I'll watch. But I wouldn't call that a great card.

 

Yeah even as I've been typing it out I realize that... Usually we only get slightly lesser mainstream fighters in a showcase or against a long faded "named" opponent... I dunno, I think it's good, not great. Anyone who is saying that it sucks must either feel that way about every PPV card since Don King got out of the business of PPV's or they are simply trying to push their agenda as usual.

We definitely got our monies worth with that card. Gotta give big ups to Mayweather and GBP for putting on some worth while fights on the undercard of their PPVs. Cheap ass Lonesome Bob needs to start paying attention because I don't see myself paying for another **** TR PPV anytime soon...

It better not be the undersized JWW Carlos Molina cupcake that Khan outboxed and stopped late in his comback from the Garcia TKO.
