Most of the Floyd fans on this site are pretty high on Crawford, too. Prime for prime, I'd favor FMJ, but I think TC could give him enough different looks even then to make a match-up btx the two pretty interesting.

 

I would pick Crawford to beat Mayweather right now, Mayweather is knocking 40 years old, Crawford is young, fresh and getting better and better.

A few years ago I would have picked Mayweather, It wouldn't have even been debatable in my opinion but age and wear and tear is an issue now, that's why Mayweather picked Berto, he knows.

Yeah, I agree. But honestly, luf, take a look and see who's posting negative things about TC in eecent threads. You'll find that it's generally the same group of people who posted negative things about Floyd.

Meanwhile, Pimp, Manfred, alexthegreatmc and and the rest of the group referred by some posters as "The Demographic" were very complimentary of TC and his performance against Postol.

I think the narrative is actually reversed in this particular case.

 

So Mayweather was being serious when he said Berto or Karim Mayfield, why was Mayfield mentioned? What was he thinking him for?

If Mayweather comes back for a 50th he won't go anywhere near Crawford.

Mayweather won't go anywhere near Thurman either. Mayweather will cherry pick, I don't blame him and nobody can, he is nearly 40 and had a long career and fought many great fighters but let's not pretend he is the same Mayweather any longer.

Mayweather is all about ego and if he thought he could have done the 50th and broke the record he would of, it would have been a massive payday and he will probably do it at some point but it won't be a fighter that's remotely dangerous, he knows he isn't the same any more and age is starting to take its toll.

Crawford would beat him now but Mayweather a few years ago would have beat this Crawford easily but age has beaten or will beat Mayweather.

Read it again, I said Mayweather is nearly 40 and nobody can blame him for a 50th fight cherry pick if he did it, he has had a long career and fought great fighters and a few years ago he would have beaten Crawford easily.

I think you need to let go my friend, Mayweather at this moment in time is retired, he wouldn't or won't fight any remotely dangerous fighter if or when he goes for the 50th.

So Mayfield needed some publicity for a career that is dead in the water and Berto needed some thanks, OK

What did Conor McGregor do? Why was Mayweather talking about that for weeks on end or was that a joke? What was he thanking him for? Also McGregor didn't need any publicity

Look little man, I'm British so I never had any skin in the game so to speak when it came to the ridiculous May Pac rivalry, I never got involved and most British boxing fans didn't.

I really liked Mayweather as a fighter, he was a super talented fighter :huh

As for Mayweather as a man outside of the ring then I don't entertain, worship or like women abusers but that's just me, maybe you are OK with stuff like that.

But Mayweather was a very talented fighter and I've never suggested anything otherwise.

This would be a great fight!! Fans would go crazy watching both fighters standing at opposite sides of the ring, moving away from each other, and waiting for the other to engage. Both would never come within eight feet from each other. Repeat for 12 rounds. Fight would end in a draw. Rematch is in order. The Runner vs The Hugger II. Question is, would you buy the PPV again?
