Mayweather wanted to renegotiate his rematch clause with Oscar. Oscar wasn’t having it so he “retired” for the life of the contract. lol at Mayweather “ducking” the rematch with Oscar. He knew Oscar was practically shot. Oscar’s fight with Forbes showed that. Mayweather threatened to fire his uncle for training Forbes to fight Oscar. “Messing with my money.” Was his complaint. As for Pacquiao, he was as much to blame for the delay as Mayweather. At 135 and 140, Mayweather fought just about anyone that would bring a decent purse. For detractors, whenever a fighter doesn’t fight someone when they think he should, that is “ducking “.
