900,000 viewers generating 60 million pounds in buy rates.does anyone know what it did in the states?
I heard 900,000 in the UK and 1million in the US. Just under 2million, which is impressive coz that only just puts it behind Lewis - Tyson and Mayweather - De La Hoya as biggest PPV fight of all time. 3rd biggest PPV ever.
it beat tyson-lewis in the u.k by 150,000 buys.it drew the biggest box office in british boxing history, which is a testamet to both fighters&boxing in general.
Actually all it says is that Ricky Hatton drew a lot of fans to that particular fight. Never did it before, unlikely to ever do it again.
no doubt the majority payed to see hatton but the fact he was fighting mayweather undoubtly attracted more viewers, also hattons always drawn good-great numbers&will do so again.
