I agree ^^^ I rather see floyd-martinez......I will be suprised if bob arum lets manny anywhere near floyd after what happened last saturday....Yet, if it falls thru again, it will somehow be floyd's fault...WHen we all know bob arum lyed out his ass about 3 or 4 times...

Damn, J. Young, You are always "Spot-on" as a Poster. What's really got me trippin' is all these posters saying Floyd would be "out-of-line" for not fighting Pac just to fight Martinez. Yet Pac chose NOT to fight Floyd just to fight Middle-of-the-road" welter, who's coming off a loss and held NO BELT that throws 8 punches per round. While Mayweather fights a fighter that Roach REFUSED to fight...TWICE!!! And after Mayweather totally out-classes his ass, all of a sudden...HE'S OLD & SHOT!!!

Pacquiao will NEVER fight Mayweather nor Berto. He'll probably keep it "in-house" with Humberto Soto (who had a fight scheduled with Anthony Peterson but was canceled...hmmm, I wonder why?) Margarito, Rematch with Cotto or Team Pacquiao may go back to their "Old Tactics" The Catchweights. Remember Oscar at 147lbs and Cotto at 145lbs. Since everyone believes Mosley is "Old & Shot", that still may be enough for Roach...He may request Mosley come in at 142lbs and then fight Shane.

    What a BUNCH OF BITCHES!!!!

According to Floyd belts do nothing but collect dust. Pacquiao will always be option #1 because it will make the most money, I don't care what anyone says.

If Floyd/Manny falls through I'd love to see this fight.

It is just a negotiating tactic which is very sad because I think Floyd-Maravilla is a much better, much more competitive fight. Floyd became almost shockingly strong at 147, he pushed Mosley around like it was Marquez, so he's not only a supreme boxer but also a BIG one. Pac doesn't have the reach nor the physical tools to make Floyd fight on his backfoot and Floyd is still faster with a better timing and defense - bad news for Pac.

Maravilla on the other hand is not only physically stronger - he's not really a physical fighter, but at least he'd match Floyd's strength unlike Pac - but also has a longer reach with that quick, well-timed jab which is the key to beat Mayweather (watch those 4 rounds old DLH actually committed to the jab). Martinez is also a very good adaptor who can easily change up tactics, so if one thing wouldn't work, he could still come up with something to work his way back to the fight, sorry, but I can't see that with Pac after R6.

Floyd-Martinez would a match-up of two real students of the game who'd not only try to box, but also to outhink and outmaneuver each other in an exciting top elite boxing match, and it'd much more be for my taste than a fairly explosive but one-sided beatdown of PacMan. So I hope it gets made, and if it does, the winner should be the fight of the year. No one could blame either fighter for taking on each other.

This seems like a much bigger risk with less reward for Mayweather. Unless the fight is at 160 because he'd gain the lineal middleweight title.

That would be a sick fight though if it were to really happen. I'm a big Martinez fan and I could see him giving Floyd big problems or possibly beating him.
