I would expect this to do in the same range that Pac-Cotto did, and if it did, those are exellent numbers.

If in fact the Mayweather-Mosley fight falls into the same range that Pac-Cotto did, then its likely its a 50/50 split if both should meet.

......only if Mayweathers numbers with Mosley do far and away better numbers than Pac-Cotto, would I say Mayweather is within his right to demand he get a better cut.

Considering the amount of promotion this fight has had, it should have done a lot more than that. Here you had 2 americans fully fluent in English to promote the fight in all the interviews. In Pac-Cotto you simply had to go by the ethnic fans and reputation of the 2, not like either guy can go into an interview hyping up the fight.

Pac's idea of hyping the fight: "I want to make people happy and all love boxing" and Cotto will just give you that "Im too cool to hype" look.

I think it did more though. Another report said it did anywhere from 1.3 - 1.7 which is more realistic. I think 1.5 and under is fine, it wont affect negotiations too much, anymore than that and you know PBF will just throw another spanner in the works after the blood issue gets settled.

It doesnt matter though if one those fighters historically has never gotten 'over' as a mainstream star. Just look at how many big fights Mosley has been in but his never really been a star. This is the guy that beat Oscar De La Hoya twice. Oscar the biggest draw in boxing but still it did nothing for 'Sugar' Shane.

And so what??!! Are you Pac accountant??? Do you get a fixed percentage from Pac ppvs??? Why do you care? You are a boxing fan you should watch fights not thing about who is going to get more money. They both take for each fight 100 times more than you are going to earn in your lifetime.

It would take 2 Pac-Morales fights plus Pac-Marquez to beat Mayweather-Marquez

The HBO report is the only one I'm going to wait for. Considering the hype before this fight, these nos. are not what I expected.

A fight with 2 non-American fighters, no 24/7, 3 months to build the fight and a B- level fighter got to 700K. That's pretty impressive.

Numbers are going to be released any time now and they are expected to come in between 1.4 and 1.5 million.

You gotta capitalise on the win. It puts your name out there but then you gotta keep those fans interested. Both Pac & Mayweather did that, they followed it up with dominating wins remaining undefeated.

Mosley based on average ppv numbers is a bigger star than both Pac & Mayweather pre-DLH. DLH fighting the not so well known PBF/Pac (in relative terms as these guys buys before him were below 500k tops) manage to draw 1.4-2.4mil.
