Excuse my ignorance but what were the official numbers for the fight. I've been reading conflicting numbers but not sure which ones are correct.

The king of ppv should get no less than 1.5 million ppvs no matter who his opponent is.

    Total PPV Buys 2009-2011

    Floyd 3.3 Million Buys 2009-2011
9/19/2009 Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Márquez 1,050,000 TUNE UP
5/1/2010 Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley 1,400,000
9/17/2011 Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz 850,000 TUNE UP

    Pacquiao 5.25 Million Buys 2009-2011 + JMM
05/2/2009 Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton 850,000
11/14/2009 Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto 1,250,000
03/13/2010 Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey 700,000
11/13/2010 Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito 1,150,000
05/7/2011 Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley 1,300,000

    Odds & Ends
Both fighters average a little over 1 million per fight since 2009.
Floyd has had 2 tune ups in his last 3. Each had controversy (Weight JMM) (Sportsmanship Ortiz)
Floyd has dipped 1 Million or more in every PPV event since his fight with ODLH.
Mike Tyson is the only fighter to go 5 consecutive PPV's over 1.25 Million
Pacquiao is the only foreign fighter ever to get 5 million + buys in 2 calendar years.
Pacquiao will shatter the 2 year record for buys after JMM even during the worst economic times since the Great Depression.

after the ppv numbers, where is the OSDT results ?

anyways numbers does matter here since this is the only thing void may become great.

but he is already great in beating his ex-wife with his children as the audience or beating security guard. it would be great if it will be counted on the ppv ... joke

anyways, has there been a news about this ppv at all ?

Better question why do idiots on here try to short change both fighters (Pac and PBF) PPVs? don't they realize that by doing that it makes the sport look weaker than it really is and causal fan that might drop in think MMA is doing so much better.

Add Pacquiao being the first fighter to have a PPV do 1 million buys in four consecutive years :good... Mayweather was retired 2 1/2 years in that time frame for anyone who claims Pacquiao is riding off his name

If you are going by years. Sure.

But his DLH fight was at the ass end. It's really been less than 3 years.

DLH fight wasn't listed. Four years is right, and mighty impressive given huge American stars Tyson and De La Hoya couldn't manage to do it

I guess if you are going by year by year by year.

In reality, it hasn't even been over 3 years since that fight.

Either way, Pac is a major star.

Then again, you only need 732 days to count as 4 years.
