Floyd on the ropes is just a thing of beauty. A good fight. I want to see a rematch. The older Floyd gets, the more fun this match up will be.
yeah...8 more rounds of floyd statistically dominating the fight....landing rights through vics guard and just befuddling him .....if it would have even made it that long..... oh well
Ortiz landed a nice right hand on the ropes.. He landed 4 good shots @ the end of the round! Void wanted out of the fight! So he took advantage and won Via Cheap Shots!
Those little short ***** shots Void was throwing during the ACTUAL FIGHT had no affect on Ortiz! Void put everything on his sucker punches though... Void is a joke and a fraud! It's Smoke screens and mirrors with that Hype Job!
Mayweather got the better of it, but Ortiz landed some surprisingly good, solid shots here and there.
I find it very difficult to take any of your posts about Floyd serious because you always come across as bitter.
Mayweather won everything a judge could possibly look for in the 4th rd. Activity, landed punches, effective punches, ring generalship. Ortiz has a history of fading later as the fight goes on. Mayweather has a history of figuring opponents out and getting better as the the fight goes on. Mayweather didn't even have to be that aggressive those first 4 rds, but he was more aggressive then he has been in yrs and Ortiz still couldn't capitalize being the front runner he is.
I can see the argument for Ortiz winning the round. Floyd's accurate single shots and blistering combination early were impressive, but the shots from that flurry by Floyd barely landed, now that I watch it in slow-motion again. Ortiz's shots towards the end had much more of a visible effect based on Floyd's reaction; he flustered backwards into the ropes dramatically and his offense shut down, and while only a few of Victor's shots landed, the moment was favoring Ortiz. If that were someone besides Floyd that got tagged and retreated straight back, more people would recognize that it was a heated moment which made the round competitive. Floyd winning every round up to that point doesn't erase that reality.
