pac had no choice but to take on marquez, mayweather wouldnt have agreed a fight at this time after a long lay off. These fights aint to bad in my opinion they are better than ****ing mayweather v sugar shane and pac v clottey!

They are fighting both in the second half of the year meaning after both fights are done they could arrange a fight for the spring 2012? if it doesnt happen after these 2 fights we should all just agree never to speak of that fight again because it will never ever happen if they dont start talks after the next fights they both have lined up

Ortiz is being hyped two fights ago he was being called a glass hearted fighter. One win over Berto and he's the best thing in boxing. That win will give him confidence and am glad he's back on track. But this is an easy fight for Floyd. He picked an opponent who he will beat easily and has new found hype to get ticket sales.

Same goes for Pac marquez is old and hasn't proved himself at the weight. Both fights will have the same story pac and floyd win but still can't agree a fight.

Not a good fight, but he's back to reclaim his old belt, will it set up Pac-May 2012?

good point i know the challengers are not the greatest but they will answer some questions I guess (or should i say confirm what we think) Pac is a different animal these days and will **** up JMM and Floyd will still have his sharp skills once thats done I think us fans will only entertain the pac v may fight one more time till people just think "ah **** this" I doubt it will ever happen and if it doesnt early next year I can honestly say I dont give a **** anymore and wont be assed to read anymore pac v may threads

Can you not see that it is a warm up fight?!
Mayweather is fighting a hard hitting southpaw in Ortiz, What is Manny..? A hard hitting southpaw. Add two and two together, Mayweather is getting prepared for it!

Oh c'mon, both Pacquiao and Floyd are to blame for them not fighting. Marquez-Pacquiao III was being discussed not too long before the Mosley-Pacquiao crap fight happened. If Manny really wanted Floyd he'd say "Enough is enough, let's go straight to Floyd and stop this cherrypicking nonsense.". Did he? I don't think so. Floyd is at fault because he brought up testing as soon as Pacquiao is making noise in his division. What's so different from his other 40 opponents at that time? Pacquiao has the speed & power to trouble Floyd along with the best offense now so Floyd knew Pacquiao was a big threat to his 0.

Mayweather-Ortiz is a good fight for the moment especially since Floyd is older and inactive. Many on here need to get over Pacquiao-Mayweather not happening. Many great/very good fights will continue to happen so stop saving your breaths as this fight won't happen.

Bull**** fight like pac with shane? if pac wants to fight Floyd all he needs to do is take the test!!!

But Im guessing you mad because Floyd starched the fighter in you avatar. This is the same BS hatton fan were spewing 4 years ago before floyd waxed hatton.

Yeah, SMASHING fighters OVER THE HILL, DAMAGED GOODS OR AT A WEIGHT WHICH DOESN'T SUIT THEM - YOU STUPID *****

How about fighting someone who doesn't fall into that Category!!??

Cotto was damaged after Margarito, Margarito was damaged after Mosley, Mosley was damaged after Mayweather, Hatton had no chin by then and he made Oscar fight at 147. Now he is making Marquez fight at 144 which we have seen from his fight with mayweather than he can't function

    STUPID ****
