Unlike Marquez, Floyd isn't prepared to take shots to throw back. I'm not that certain that his defence will keep him out of harm away.

Agree Luke; interestign fight regardles of the decision :good

    Floyds a genius .....

Hes technically much better than Manny.... He'll pot shot Manny from distance, Manny wot be able to hit him because he wont be there to be hit..... He'll be in and out... and frustrate him.....

And even if it does turn into a high paced fight Floyd has got what it takes, like what he did to Hatton.... He can attack when he wants to.... Hes got too much of everything like i said.....

The only thing Manny has got is knock out power...... Take his power away and you have a good boxer - when Floyd is a ATG boxer....

I think Floyd takers this. He can sit back and counter Pac, hitting him with rights. Strong enough to keep him back and fast enough not to be overwhelmed.

Manny is a worker. Floyd potshots. However Floyd will catch, block and avoid alot of what comes his way.

Manny don't stop for nothing though. It's a great fight that has to happen.

    Agreed.

In the current boxing climate however, I think the above synopsis will see Pac win a decision.

I used to think Floyd could break Pac down but Pac has shown he is much more of a welter than a JMM, Hatton, Judah etc The guy stands with Cotto, Clottey, DLH etc like it's water off a ducks back. Stamina, strength, speed, power etc Pac can do it for 12. It comes down to skills me thinks.

Pac is busy, Floyd isn't. Pac isn't scary accurate, Floyd is. 50-50 all the way. Just being busy or accurate will not win. The mixture of the two will win. Pac needs to be busy and more accurate. Floyd needs to be accurate and busier.

If May beats Mosley, I can't lie, I'm going to simply be even more hyped for the fight.

Fights are events because we don't have a league, 1 belt etc For this reason we want to see the biggest events and those are made by the best fighting the best!

    Make the ****ing fight happen.

Agreed. Mosley doesn't have the feet (speed or work) to really push Floyd IMO.

I think Floyds jab to the pit of the stomach will do him wonders; Pacs body assault (which will likely land on Floyds arms) will do him wonders.

Floyd may be more accurate to the head but I can't see Floyds supposedly impenetrable defence blocking everything Manny throws. People will say Clottey rarely got hit in the face but his defence is different to Floyds.

When Floyd does his usual coasting back to the ropes into his shell and Manny steams forward and piles it on, we will see who's skillset is the most formidable, and IMO, Floyd won't be able to keep up with it.

I'm actually reconsidering :think Up until now I sort of disregarded Pacquiao's speed, I mean I didn't buy the hype. 'I can see his punches fine, why can't they? They're just making excuses' I said. However, opponent after opponent after opponent is saying they just can't cope with his speed, which has been carried up in weight. Are welterweights used to fighting someone with the speed of a featherweight and the power of a welterweight? Clottey sure as hell wasn't, neither Cotto, nor Hatton, DLH... I used to think Floyd would just block and roll Pacquiao's punches, but could he actually keep up with the combinations? I mean Floyd can block and roll Hatton's 2/3 punch combos, but I swear Pacquiao must throw about 5 shots in a second. Did Mayweather struggle with Judah's speed at all? I've never seen the fight, looking on boxrec Floyd won by wide UD, but Judah isn't comparable to Pacquiao other than speed. I know I'm banging on about speed, but usually with Pacquiao it's the deciding factor.

Well, I'd say in the early rounds Floyd was bothered. I actually think he was legitimately knocked down by Zabs counter. He adjusted though and won convincingly.

A few things to consider-A given, first; Pac is far superior to any version of Judah.

Also, that once Floyd has adjusted, Pac will surely do something new and force him to adjust again?!? Surely Roach will be prepared for this, as will Manny.

I don't see Pac getting frustrated at Floyd not engaging him as he has with Clottey or Cotto; he will be well prepared.

I personally just think Pc is harder to prepare for, especially if you don't like getting hit. Floyd has been more and more negative as he's moved up in weight, Pac has just got better. I know it's crazy, but I think he's improved since the 2nd Marquez fight (which I scored in JMM's favour, 115-112).

Has Pacs game improved that much from when he got outboxed by Marquez? I think he's now got the footwork/ring intelligence as well as the workrate/power so I'd go with a Pac decision ....

If it was close i could see the judges being kinder to Pac because I get the feeling most in the boxing world would love to see Mayweather get beat.

Or because of the money to be made in this fight I wouldn't be surprised with a draw!!!

really think manny can win this. floyd a slow starter and thats all manny needs to get into his rythem then its an uphill fight for floyd. dont forget freddie roach helped a past his prime oscar to a razor thin loss coz of oscar dropped his work rate manny wont do that.

this fight has to happen or were be talking bout it for years:thumbsup
