Mayweather wide points win. If it gets too hairy for him he can ditch the mid-range sharpness and outmove Pacman. Against bigger, straight-on guys Pac is impossible. Against more technical fighters he struggles, Floyd would take no chances and win at a canter.
Mayweather would've won before this fight and he still wins. Amir Khan talking his shite: "most people would pick Manny to beat Floyd". BULL****. Floyd beats Manny.
I think the fight will happen now that Pac seems to be on the slide ever so slightly. I don't see Mayweather having to many problems if the fight happens.
Yes. But it's clear he hasn't made any technical improvements, it's just that bigger, slower guys can't cope with him. Floyd is not one of those guys. Pac will trouble him with his angles, hand speed and southpaw style but Floyd should make the adjustment and not stay as aggressive as he has been against Shane and Ortiz, and pick him off. His sharp right hand might well jar Manny and allow him to force a stoppage, but Pacquiao is tough and durable so I think Floyd on points is the safe bet.
:good I've fancied Mayweather from the get go to tell you the truth, but the fact that you were so convinced that Pac would beat him give me hope. Marquez was ****ing robbed.
Define ''technical'' improvements Flea, what does that entail specifically? As I've always said, his refinement has been drastically overstated over time, and it's just that he's become that superb at feinting and added a right hand to his already abundant physical attributes that have made him a nightmare a bigger and slower men, or just guys like Hatton who'll come flying face-first at him. I don't know whether you'd consider that a technical improvement though, what with everybody having varying definitions of just about everything. I still think Pacquiao could bother Mayweather in the early going, Floyd squares up against southpaws at times and Manny will punch with him, something Mayweather's always been troubled by to an extent. He won't keep it up though, due to the fact Mayweather can make basic adjustments that'd bamboozle Pacquiao in an instant, Manny still can't even deal with the opponent side-stepping it seems. Hopefully this actually happens, even if it's luster has been lost. Mayweather needs a win that his abilities warrant.
Didn't Khan use Mayweather as and example of styles make fights? such as Mayweather beat Marquez, and Pacquaio was always stuggles with Marquez but Pacquaio would beat floyd.
I thought Pac was gonna burst into tears during Arums interview. He just stared at the floor looking embarrased and his face told us he knew he was a beaten man. Floyd would take a landslide points win
