Ya I didn't know what you meant by your post .. but if people can't post objectively for the most part than why post at all .. Fighter personalities aside, and if people really did follow these 2, than it would be hard pressed to sell that Pac has huge advantages over Floyd, certainly not in height and reach, and counterpunching .. Adv Pac in work rate .. Fair enough, I have always said it is a close fight for me.

I am not a big Mayweather fan, but his style was head to head better in that matchup. But Manny is a greater fighter by far.

His best wins(Barrera 1&2, Marquez 2 and Sasakul) were when he was more reckless and didnt use his right hand at all

    Maidana arguably beat Floyd.

Manny is x1000 the fighter Maidana is.

Manny was absolutely wrecking shop back then.

Yes, of course Maidana arguably beat Floyd lol. I hear quite a few people have arguably beaten him. People seem to be trying very hard to be creative in the arguments good luck!

TBF Morales arguably beat Pac....JMM arguably beat Pac....wait a minute they did beat him, you say? Go figure

It was tough to pick.. I think Floyd saw Manny's workrate and speed and enthusiasm and he wanted no part of him. Until years later. Manny was more of a natural fighter. And I think Floyd knew that.. If it got tough Manny might be too much for him.

Bumping this a few years on as I was thinking again about this matchup today.
People still feel the same way?

There's no point in time that Pac beats Floyd, the wild, uncouth version of Pac would've had the best chance. Once he became the more polished, semi-thinker in the ring (the David Diaz, Miguel Cotto, Marquez 3-4) ...........even that small widow closed.

Mayweather Jr. Probably thought this. Thus all the excuses.

Similar to the fight that took place in 15’ (8-4 type fight for Floyd), but at a faster pace and a better fight.

Just like Holyfield-Tyson 1, I wish these fights had taken place 5 years earlier. And people will be saying that about Crawford-Spence as well.

Floyd by UD - look at the fits JMM gave Pacquiao: a brilliant counterpuncher with a great right hand that wobbled Pacquaio a few times in their first two fights before cold cocking him in the 4th fight.

Mayweather is a faster, bigger and better defensive fighter than JMM. Floyd 9-3 or possibly 8-4.
