Arum wouldn't let Cotto fight Floyd because he wasn't ready.

    Step your knowledge up, son.

Well they both need each other, period.

Maybe they meant to pull this fight off since its too early, too fast for a fight. So I'm really hoping that all this crap is just to give more attention to it which worked.

Anyways, as it is right now I do expect to pick up where they left off and meet somewhere in between.

Agreed. After May 1, if they don't sign to face each other for their next fights (assuming May wins :D) , I honestly will no longer support either of them. I have bought all of their recent fights on PPV and am going to the fight on 5/1. I'll be done with them

I know that probably the main reason for Mayweather to demand random drug testing was to get under Pacquiao's skin. But that doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't want the sport cleaned up. He has had the bargaining power since the De la Hoya bout, but he was planning on retiring after De la Hoya until Hatton started shouting his mouth off.

At this point he does. Pac is #1 and has earned that spot convincingly, if those two don't fighter before they retire, May will be in Pac's shadow

His plans of retirement were temporary, and were never permanent. Plus when he says "all future opponents will be subjected to random testing", it begs the question:

"Well firstly, how many future opponents will there be Floyd?"

Because after Mosely and Pac, who will there be? In all likelihood you'll be retiring permanently. Making your promises of cleaning the sport worthless

legacy wise, Floyd has a lot to prove than Pac. Pac at this point is putting icing on the cake, Floyd can dream on.

I doubt this fight happens due to the blood testing issue. I think the greater pressure would lay on the Pacquiao camp in negotiation simply because the best way they could come up with to avoid the testing was to purport the theory that Floyd is scared to fight opponents that stand a chance to beat him. I think the match with Shane Mosley should dismiss that idea in any logical mind and perhaps more questions will raise as to why Pac and his team are really so vehemently opposed to the concept.

Both guys are prideful and likely won't back down. The only relevant guy of late that Pac has beaten which Floyd hasn't is Cotto and if Floyd beats Mosley, there is a significant fighter who Floyd has beaten and Pacquiao has not. Neither one of them would 'need' one another, though both would benefit from having that defining victory under their belt.

Exactly. If Cotto wasnt getting hit with bricks, he may have well won by decision, not as impresive as Shanes KO but with wins over Margo & Shane, he would clearly be the top man.

The idea of Pac picking Cotto over Margo for his first test at WW being compared to Floyd picking Baldo is a joke.
