    Pac and Floyd are the biggest figures in boxing right now but they are not bigger than boxing.

    If you think this is the only fight that's worth watching w/c may never happen then go ahead and forget boxing because you can never appreciate this sport.

    hmm. you are right of course. but the implications of the two p4p's refusing to fight each other AND the two best (available) heavyweights doing the same is massive.

    every time i watch a roots boxing fight, great as it is, it exists in a context. thats what makes boxing NOT wrestling. there is a real sport, a real heirachy and unlike MMA a deep deep talent pool. but its not meant to be all about the money. its meant to go somewhere other than hype feeding on itself ad infinitum.

    this is gonna sound naive cos i know the mafia have owned boxing in the past, but ive read/watched interviews with guys from the old times who genuinely wanted to be the toughest guy on the planet. these days not only has mma pissed on that but so have the boxers themselves.
