i picked the DVD up the other week and one close up shot/replay between rounds 4 & 5 show one of the uppercuts perfectly, joe has an 'oh ****' look on his face as it comes towards him. will have to watch it again to see if he makes any slight movement of his head as it approaches.

Yeah, do. I haven't seen it since the re-run, if you do it, pm me or post in the thread, let me know if he lifts his head or not.

I'm a Pavlik fan and I think he'll win but the more I think about it, the more I like Floyd's chances. The guy is just so damn smart and quick I could see him running and throwing the occasional well placed combination to frustrate Pavlik and pull out a controversial UD as the Floyd haters whine about Floyd being a running coward. Not me though, if Floyd plays by the rules and wins, a win is a win.

    What's so absurd about this match-up ?

    Oscar fought at 130
    Floyd fought at 130

Oscar moved up, successfully winning titles at all categories up to 160
Floyd moved up, successfully winning titles at all categories up to 154.

Oscar squeaked by Sturm (Some think a gift) for his 160 and then fell to Bernard.

Floyd could 'tune-up' against Abraham (like Oscar's Sturm) and then go for Pavlik (Like Oscar's BHop).

BHop was a bigger and vastly more skilled boxer than current Pavlik.

If Floyd wants to move into the last piece of Oscar territory, he needs to take on Pavlik at 160, maybe with Abraham first as a tune-up.

Floyd is a better boxer than Oscar.

Pavlik is not the boxer Bernard was.

Oscar was at least holding his own (IMO, outboxing Bernard) for 8 rounds.

This fight is winnable for Floyd.

He could then defend his unified titles against a leading contender at MW.

If he fights Cotto, Abraham, Pavlik and Winky, in the next two years, and beats them all (possible), and retires, He would be arguably the alltime #1 p4p.

Dont listen to the morons man. Its a good post, Mayweather could, just maybe, run all night and outpoint Kelly. I give him a better chance against Taylor, mainly based on the Spinks fight. I think Pavlik fans are outta control. He is not the vicious monster he is made out to be. Ok he has a good workrate, punches very hard, (but not on the level of guys like Jackson, McClellan and Benn) and has a nice long jab. But he has a shaky chin, is easy to hit and can be outboxed. Mayweather has a 30-70 chance of beating Kelly. He really could do it.

As someone who does think PBF could beat some higher weight guys with low workrates (i.e. Abraham, maybe even Erdei), I can't see him beating Pavlik. Pavlik wouldn't land a high percentage, but he throws enough that he'd take out PBF eventually on accumulation.

I dont think its absurd to say that floyd could win this, but I dont think floyd would entertain the idea to be honest, he might take on a MW just not Kelly. But its possible for floyd to win, talking about Pavliks power is great, but he has to hit floyd flush with, not impossoble I know, but I just think Floyd is smart enough to negate that power.

Pavlik has way too much height, reach, and POWER!! He USES his jab which is essential in beating PBF. He would use it here and Floyd would have to run, hide, and duck between the ropes TO SURVIVE. Any attempt at actually beating Pavlik will result in a beatiful KO loss for Floyd toy. Now, YES there is truth to the saying its not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. But that isnt going down in this MATCH UP! I'm sure Floyd could beat plenty of guys that are BIGGER but size aint the only asset here:nono Pavlik didnt get to be MW Champ without skill to go a long with it and Floyd would not be able to hurt Pavlik AT ALL!

REST EASY FLOYD FANS!!!!! Because any discussion or possibility of this match is only in you're imaginations:yep Floyd aint taking any chances in LOSING:nono

I'm not sure what makes anyone believe that this is even remotely possbile? Floyd dont wanna fight guy's like Cotto/Williams and yall dream of Pavlik?? :rofl

Fighting Delahoya at 154lbs and coming in at 150lbs is one thing. Fighting Kelly Pavlik at 160lbs who is huge at that weight and should probably be up at 168lbs in another. I give Floyd close to a 0% chance.

Floyd would get beat up and KO'd. Floyd's defence is all about rolling with the punch's.

Pavliks punch's will hurt Floyd whillst he is trying to roll them.

Pavlik KO between 1 and 3.

This is never gonna happen but the question should be what round would Kelly KO Floyd. That shoulder roll, head back game aint gonna work with Pavlik's height, reach and lunging over the top style of punching. And if Floyd crouches and bends forward - boom. He's busted either way.

It's like saying who wins Duran or Michael Spinks. Pavlik is basically a light heavyweight with the ability to fight with stamina at 160lbs.
