Very random thread but i just watched this fight and i have to say.. are the HBO team blind!! I cant believe how much credit they were giving Sosa for wildly throwing shots whilst Mayweather was just picking him off all day long. There is one point in the fight where Sosa throws a wild left, Floyd throws a short check hook that lands and Lampley shouts 'WHAT A LEFT HOOK BY SOSA' Now that my rant is over i wish you all a good day
Fight was in Cali too so a lot of the fans felt the same way. Cotto pretty much starched Sosa a few years later I remember.
Its similar to ESB also. Posters never see the "Greatness in Floyd...But love to Over-Hype the Average-ness in everyone else!!!!
watch the De La Hoya v. Mayweather fight, Lampley does it for the whole duration of the fight. Merchant even bashes Floyd saying "how can you be considered the best when you throw only one punch at a time." All being said while Floyd is landing like 44% of his punches

Lampley said the stupidest thing during the FMJ/DLH fight, it was something like this: "It doesn't matter if your landing or not when your throwing twice as many punches" I was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!
