I don't think it will make a difference. He will hydrate normal next day any way.

"""BScene has an article from 2011 in which canelo said he is willing to drop a few pounds to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather is the World Boxing Council's champion at 147-pounds. Alvarez has no problem facing Mayweather at a catch-weight of 150-pounds."""

If anybody has ever bought or sold a house, this is very similar.

An initial offer was made as a negotiating platform. A deal was worked around it. At any time, Floyd could have made the fight at 154, I'm confident Canelo's team would have accepted. However, they were willing to make some concessions, either direct or implied, to get the deal done.

This is a great example of negotiating in good faith: both sides worked to make the deal happen. This is the complete opposite of what happened between Mayweather and Arum.

He will come in with IV marks and suffer a stroke walking to the ring.

In all unbiasedness I think it will have an impact on Canelo. He struggles to make 154 and obviously they asked for it, for a reason.
In all biasedness... People complain about how Cotto had to drop to 145, meanwhile he weighed 146 in his previous fight (loss of 1 pound). If Cotto is beyond dehydrated dropping 1 pound basically, I fear for Canelo's life!!! lol

Where all of a sudden has it come from that Canelo struggles to make 154?

If that's the case, why on earth out of his own choice did he come onto the scales at 153 for his last fight if making weight was that difficult?

If the 2lbs didn't matter then there wouldn't be a Catchweight.
(I'm just waiting for the rehydration clause to come out now)

Pac: Cotto asked for a catchweight.

Yeah because Pac wanted it at 143 or some stupid **** like that.

    Mayweather is the new catchweather

Are you really stupid enough to believe that Canelo asked to go down 2 lbs?
