Floyd is doing what he has always done his entire life, he is making an adjustment. Each adjustment that he makes puts him in a better position to win, in and outside the ring. He adjusted on Bob Arum, Fifty Cent, HBO, and Roger's ass. He adjusts on just about every fighter he fights unless his first presentation works for the duration of the fight. You don't have to be a genius to read the mindset of the Canelo camp. Mayweather is confident that the young man can't outbox him and the fight is big bucks but he wasn't going to do him any favors by giving him a large weight advantage. Success favors the prepared mind.

    over at Floyd's favorite site.

He is right on both accounts. Everybody knows this, if he was a Jr Middleweight he would not be fighting at welterweight. We have also seen Canelo bring up at catchweight multiple times when talking about Mayweather.

Okay. 152 is wat they agreed on. But i wonder wat other catchweights were brought up before they settled on 152

Canelo got 152lbs and NO rehydration clause. Sounds like he got a good deal to me. And besides.....Floyd is the longtime champion, face of the sport but he is supposed to cave into the demands of a 22 year old....RIGHT?

    SMH!!!

Don't matter who brought it up,trying to save face for trashing Pac in the past. He does look like a hypocrite with this catchweight, but if that's what it took to make this fight happen who gives a damn

If I may....Catchweights were always designed for a smaller fighter vs a bigger fighter to meet at an agreed upon weight (usually somwhere in the middle). What Pacquiao was doing was requesting catchweights for fighters in the SAME WEIGHT DIVISION. If two fighters are WW's....why a catchweight? But I know that probably makes way too much sense for anyone to understand.

There's no doubt Pac used them to his advantage, but so is Floyd right now. Floyd has fought at 154,the catchweight is to give Canelo less of a size advantage. It is what it is,still a great fight.

Floyd's place at #1 P4P is quite secure.

Roach was admitting he was manipulating weights for advantages. So you are saying Canelo has an advantage right?

Here is the big question. If it's ok for one fighter to "do it" then why all the threads hating on another fighter for "doing it" in a fight that WE ALL WANT TO SEE...RIGHT? All of you begged for this fight and have been BITCHING since the day it was signed...SMH!!!
