    Mayweather UD, but I'd love for Alvarez to KO Mayweather and start his career as boxing's new 'superstar'.

    I'm a big Alvarez fan and Id love to see it as a 'passing of the baton' fight.

    alvarez would be a lot more of a test than ortiz that's for sure.

    mayweather would be favourite with his speed though of course. :bbb

    Why exactly do so many people rate Alvarez? The only thing notable about him so far is that he's popular. I'm not saying he has no potential, but I don't expect to see him losing rounds to welterweights like Alfonso Gomez and still be spoken of as a future superstar.

    Basically, if he doesn't get Kermit out in the first half of the fight, I think we have to ask questions about how good he really is.
