Whenever this thread comes up I say just watch both of their fights vs Jesus Chavez.

You clearly see the difference in class between the two.

Pimp C i dont know why you are arguing with these dudes. You and I know if this fight came up back in in the early 2000's none of them would drop a bill on Morales

You're right. None would put a dime on EM.

I actually think May would have the tougher time with Barrera because his combinations are much tighter to the body and the head than are Morales', with a decent jab to start it all off with.

That said, I favour May all day over them. Let's not play here :yep

Edwin Valero ****ed Morales up pretty good in sparring...

Great fighters lose sparring sessions more often than some might think.

    We are dealing in hypotheticals.

Listen to what you are actually saying. First, that Morales would always struggle with Raheem's style when Erik in his prime beat better fighters. Hell, even past his prime still managed to beat Pacquiao. Raheem was good, but never better than Pacquiao. Just because he had a slick style doesn't mean he was better. He got robbed against Juarez I know that, but what happened in the Funeka fight? Second, PBF beats any version of EM? Well, he couldn't handle a prime Erik while sparring so you can forget about that. You bring up Erik's and MAB's worst case scenerios and when they weren't at their best. We talking about all 3 in their primes, not a bloated Marquez, or a Morales that was past his best days when he faced Raheem or even Pacman. Floyd couldn't handle a 126 Morales when Morales still had it. Like I said, those 3 were all in the same league in their primes. They were head and shoulders above compared to their contemporaries like Chico and Hamed. But saying Floyd would beat both like if they were B class bums you know you wrong. At a catchweight at 128 or so that would of answered this. I think it would of been like Broner vs PDL with similar results.

And in related news, Kid Diamond has just been awarded the welterweight championship of the world. The boxing universe now anxiously waits for him to come out of retirement and claim his prize.

well said. And i'm with you.

The arrogance of it all is what annoys me.

Morales and Barrera are ATG's and 1st ballet HOF fighters. And for these guys to just say he beats them all like there bums, when you can't find a single win over a prime ATG on floyds whole resume.

There close great fights, but the orragance of the floyds fans pisses me off. All because he's undefeated. When in reality that means nothing.

Most people believe floyd has a loss against castillo at 135. And prime Morales and Barrera are a differant leagie to Prime Castillo.

Just like he couldn't handle Paulie Spadafora in sparring.:rofl Like that means anything. PBF would beat Paulie badly in an actual boxing match.

Similar results as PDL-Broner???:patsch That right there lets me know that you don't know **** about boxing. PBF would have been moving all around the ring on EM unlike Broner against PDL. PBF at 130 fights nothing like Broner at 130. Broner fights more like PBF does now at 147. Horrible comparison not even close, just like a fight between PBF-EM would be at 130.:deal.

Something similar to this perhaps with no belts on the line, but mostly for the $$$. Let's remember back then Floyd did fight ANYBODY and if he wantéd Hamed, most likely he might of taken on a prime Erik or MAB. These guys were much more technically superior to Chico you can bet your gonards Floyd easily struggles with either one. Chico, Chicanito, Jesus Chavez, etc all very good, MAB and Erik tho were great.

ATG yes but who both would be outsized and meet their stylistic nemesis in PBF. That's what people like you seem to be forgetting.:deal PBF has both of these guys beat in all key departments. Easy work against EM and a complete demolition job against MAB.:deal

PBF made Hernandez and Chico look like rank amateurs. He would have done the same to MAB and beaten EM going away. Also why in the hell do you keep talking about Broner? He fights nothing like PBF did at 130 dumb argument. Also if Broner could fight at 130 still he would damn near kill PDL in the rematch and you ****ing know it. You wouldn't put a cent on PDL in a rematch. I bet you thought Demarco was gonna beat Broner as well. How did that work out for you.?:hi:
