The better question is: What has Bradley ever done at 147 to warrant a fight with Mayweather? Consider this: Bradley's only legitimate win over somebody who has actually won a fight at 147 is against Marquez.

Bradley has a robbery against Pacquiao. ( I don't count that as a win )
Bradley has a win over Provo. (Provo's only fight at 147, and currently campaigns at 140)
Bradley does have a win over a 40 year old JMM.

No, it's not. Bradley's only legitimate win at 147 pounds is against a 40 year old man, who knocked out a guy who is known for fighting unranked opponents at 147. (Pacquiao has fought 6 of his 10 fights at 147 against unranked opposition)

Guerrero and Ortiz have done more at 147 than Bradley has.

Beating a 40 year old blown up lightweight at 147 should be expected from Bradley. It's not some great accomplishment. In fact, Pacquiao has one of the most embarrassing moments in this history of boxing for taking his nap against JMM. Going in for the kill carelessly because he was too stupid to realize the bell was about to ring, too caught up in the moment and NOT THINKING, only to get planked by a guy pushing 40 who had never won a fight in that division.

What has JMM done at 147 other than planking Pacman? Nothing.

The only reason JMM was ranked, was because he planked Pacquiao. And again: Pacquiao has been protected and has fought 60% of his fights at 147 against UNRANKED opposition. Tell me I'm lying....

Bradley hasn't done jack at 147. And he sure as heck isn't going to dominate the division. The guy is on borrowed time, and anybody with sense can see that Bradley isn't that effective at 147.

Keeping those unbeaten streaks alive tend to be easier when championship level fighters take matches against guys who aren't even ranked in the division.

At 147, Bradley is unproven. A win over a 40 year old JMM doesn't convince me. And it's not like he blew JMM out of the water either, it was a competitive bout.

 

And then Bradley woke up and realized Mayweather would utterly embarrass him.
