He isn't a 130 pounder anymore more like a 140 pounder but his best weight and best performances were at 130 was really what I was saying. And he was clearly the smaller man vs DLH.
Obviously im not saying that Calzaghe has no talent other than workrate and chin. He can box and he is an intelligent boxer. However, in the Hopkins fight it was his workrate that got him the rounds because Hopkins was knackered. Calzaghe rarely landed a good punch but he was constantly coming forward forcing the fight by snatching rounds. I agree that there are rounds in this fight that Floyd would do what Kessler and Reid did and win rounds by clean punching. But Calzaghe would win the fight by a reasonably close UD as Floyd wont get too many opportunities to throw. I also agree fights shouldnt just be scored activity but if there is a close round its nearly always the fighter coming forward that wins the round
I am not going through this when the whole of the forum acknowledged Jones was a great fighter doing the old adage of '' 1 last great fight'' DLH was probably the best fighter Mayweather has fought, thats the sad thing. It's lucky we aren't comparing a prime Calzaghe either, or Floyd would be Ko'ed in round 2, Calzaghe has him for speed, adaptability, offence, power, chin, heart and stanima, Mayweather ''may'' have a better defence, however it's not like Calzaghes ever had to defend himself with the way he steam rolls people. I nearly forgot about the robbery he got from Castilo.
Floyd would shell up alot, but unlike Roy did against Joe, Floyd would counter the **** out of him. Also Floyd has never gotten tired in the ring and it was quite apparent Roy was tired... The only reason Joe could win this fight is workrate alone.. the dude just doesn't stop throwing punches...
LOLLLLLLL the standard platitude. Go google some more American Psycho pics, must be far better than your own! lolllllllllllll
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Too bad he didn't have a great fight..... he didn't even have a good fight. Clown. No he isn't and it really wouldn't be that sad. Joe best win is over a 43 year old middleweight.:yikes :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl This doesn't even warrent a real response. Or Reid and Hopkins getting "robbed". Or the fact that D and B- fighters like Salem and Mitchell put Calzaghe on his ass. :rofl :rofl :rofl
As I skipped past all the smiley and rolling faces... Didn't Calzaghe beat Reid one handed? and Hopkins? the guy who landed less than half of the punches Joe landed in the fight? Absurd.
You're an irrate little chap aren't you, I can't believe you have been infuriated so much you're calling for my death, must be muslim... I guess this is a Jihad... Johad on English Titan!!! Infidel westerner. Smiley face, rolling face..smiley blah blah blah.
I don't think Mayweather's fought anyone with the unorthodoxy or relentlessness of Calzaghe. I don't see Mayweather being that unconventional, just highly skilled. That's what makes it a difficult choice.
If you count punches landed on the back, arms and air then yes he did out land Hopkins. Also Hopkins threw 1/8 of the punches Calzaghe did. And Floyd had a broken rib and a fractured wrist vs Castillo the first time and still won the fight.:hi: You suck at life.
Making comparison from a list is bad... Hatton vs Malignaggi Power: Hatton Skills: Malignaggi Stamina: Hatton Defense: Malignaggi Workrate: Hatton Accuracy: Malignaggi Speed: Malignaggi Chin: Hatton It was not a even fight..., you suck :deal !
