Which version of Canelo is peak? He's never been dominant against even B level competition.

Excellent boxing display by Mayweather but Canelo was compromised at 152.

Floyd NEVER wiped Pacquaio That debacle should have been declared a No Contest due to the IV gate
scandal plus the NSAC sabotaged Pac by denying him his already promised LEGAL Toradol shot

    True
    I thought Floyd took it
But the majority of Oscar’s fans (record breaking ppvs #s at the time)
Felt it was close like Maidana vs Mayweather.
    Where the fans demanded it
& Floyd obliged as it was a lot of Money to be made.

its Ironic how the newly minted “money May”didn’t seek another pay day / its interesting anyway.

Those are more Big Asterisks **
But I am just commenting on what happened inside the ring those nights
He wiped Márquez & Nelo for sure…

Regardless of what happened outside of the ring Pacquiao won maybe 3 - 4 rounds in the ring that night
    That’s crazy.

Mayweather wanted more money in the rematch and Oscar wouldn’t give it to him. Since Mayweather was obligated by the rematch clause to right Oscar next, he “retired”until the rematch clause expired. To think that Mayweather didn’t want to rematch Oscar is laughable. That was the only fight that the winner in the post match interview was pushing for a rematch.

During the tale of the tape they literally say the age advantage goes to the younger man.

Not that Floyd needs the money,
But that was alot of money to walk away from at the time.

Mayweather’s ego is greater than his love of money. Floyd wanted the fight and in fact was angry at his old man for training Steve Forbes for Oscar’s interim fight before the rematch. “Messing with my money” was a quote of Mayweather.

So he needed 50 fights to reach his peak, then. Got it. And who has he beaten since that fight? An over the hill Kovalev? 40 year old Golovkin? Rocky Fielding and Callum Smith? Plant? John Ryder?

Which performance here had you saying, "Wow! He's so much better than when he fought Floyd!".

It all just seems rather ridiculous to me...
