Mayweather vs Canelo Poll at ESPN

Probably because Gasnelo didn't look impressive in his last fight. He was neither devastating or masterful

 

Sounds about right. Canelo is just Mayweather's nearest challenger. That's all. Not his do or die, almost 50-50 nemisis that a Pacquiao was back in 09/10.

i wouldnt be so sure. all the mexican fans i know (real fans, not groupies) think it'll be easy work for mayweather. i think so too. honestly, what has trout done? he beat an over the hill cotto who wasnt even fighting at his best weight. he fights at 154 now because he cant make 147 anymore, but he's not a natural 154 pounder. trout's a good win, but it doesnt prove much in my eyes.

Alvarez is the favorite in New Mexico according to that poll though, and in Arkansas and Mississippi Floyd by KO is a popular vote :yep

For me if the fight takes place @147 Floyd wins for 99% sure. @154 about 70%, and at a 150/151 catchweight about 80%.

Alvarez has no chance of winning. He hardly won against trout.

 

That poll will change once Canelo batters cotto. A three to one dawg is probably what he should be though.

 

Trout beat Cotto more clearly as Floyd did, and Canelo has more power.
There's a very good reason Floyd doesn't want Canelo @154.

 

theyre crazy about him. absoultely crazy about him. he has a huge following. i would say that he's the most popular boxer in mexico right now. there are a lot of casual fans in mexico and they love him for the most part.
