It never occurred to me until I recently watched the fight again, but it looked like a fixed fight.

Why would Canelo continue to stand in front of Floyd without doubling the jab?

Why didn't he use the right hook to the body?

These are things he's used in previous fights, yet he neglected to utilize these tools in this fight.

Basically, he appeared impotent. Cotto put up a much better fight, but I can't honestly say that Cotto is a better fighter at the weight class than Canelo. In fact, many if not most, believe that Canelo would beat Cotto.

Even Ortiz put up a better fight, but is clearly a lesser fighter.

Why did Canelo not leave everything in the ring? It may have been a fixed fight.

It wasn't fixed he just was never ready for Mayweather , I also wonder if him having to lose weight effected his out put ..When your tired its harder to let your hands go ..But to my original point he was nowhere near ready for Floyd thats why it was a one sided clinic !

Canelo was as ready as he ever will be. More experience will never make him fast enough, or smart enough to beat Mayweather.

He didn't do them things you mentioned because he knew he was going to get countered.

Based on what his win over Trout ? Who he looked like **** against ? He wasn't seasoned enough for the likes of MW ..If a guy like Marquez couldn't land a glove on Floyd who really thought Canelo could ? Sorry he wasn't ready for Floyd no matter what belt he held !

This is some crazy ****.....Floyd didn't need a fix to beat a fighter with Nelo's style, skills and experience. It was exactly the way it worked up on paper. A mismatch. The size was the great equalizer because Nelo was so much bigger he could have gotten lucky and landed a shot that hurt Floyd. I wasn't expecting the unlikely to occur and it never did.

You just proved my point by bringing up Marquez. Experience can only do so much for you. It's not like Canelo was the more talented fighter and got outsmarted. Not only was Floyd the more experienced fighter, but he has a much higher ring IQ and is more talented. If Marquez had no answers for Mayweather, than how could more experience help Canelo against Floyd? Remember, Canelo has been a pro for 7 years and has over 40 official fights.

How did I prove your point Marquez has double the experience Canelo had yet this is supposed to be a meaningful win for Floyd  I only proved that Canelo had no business in the ring with Floyd at this time ..Lets also not forget that with Marquez all he could rely on was his experience since Floyd was the bigger fighter ..But as the old adage goes a good big man beats a good small man and thats what you saw with. Marquez ..With Canelo he had no shot ,his lack of experience nor could he use his size to his advantage.

Mayweather's size against Marquez had more to do with his win than his so called steller IQ.

Was DLH vs Hopkins fixed NO

Losers always find a way to lose

Did you watch that fight? Marquez was totally befuddled. He was hitting air all day, and Mayweather landed at will. Mayweather was 21 and had 2 years of pro experience when he fought Genaro Hernandez, a seasoned champion. Genaro was obliterated. Experience helps, but it's not more important that talent. Alvarez will never in his career be good enough to beat someone like Mayweather.
