It was a very good fight very rare to see action in a mayweather fight this fight was quite enjoyable to watch

So how did you score the fight?

I scored it 8-4 to castillio

Casto out hustled and out manned young Mayweather

I particular liked when casto clipped him with a right hand at the end of round 7 lovely shot

Ffs. Get a grip BM. This fight was how many years ago? Just accept your guy lost and move on. Being this salty can't be good for you.

I gave 7 rounds to Castillo, 2 rounds to Floyd, with 3 even the first time I scored it, watching regularly. Giving the even rounds to Floyd still makes it 7-5 for Castillo. But my scoring was very different when I went back watching each round twice just focusing on one fighter at a time, counting every punch that landed. That was so time consuming and boring that I didn't get the whole fight scored. It looked like Mayweather did better when I did it the second way. I liken it to how people say that Pacquiao beat Mayweather if you count all the punches and watch their fight at half speed.

    Here's my original write up.
    Mayweather Castillo
Rd 1. Mayweather. Mayweather scored a few more light punches. No real action.
Rd 2. Castillo. Feet tangled and Castillo went down. Clash of heads. Castillo more aggressive landing more punches. Mayweather confused.
Rd3. Even. Roughly even punches landed. Castillo aggressive forcing Floyd to the ropes.
Rd4. Castillo. Messy castillo holding and hitting. Mayweather out of rhythm.
Rd5. Castillo. Castillo bullies Mayweather to the ropes and punishes the body.
Rd6. Castillo. Castillo really put a hurt on Mayweather this round. Volume body punching. Pushed him down at one point, but no knockdown.
Rd7. Castillo. Castillo landed the hardest bombs up to now. Mayweather holds on and Castillo continues to pound him in the clinch.
Rd8. Mayweather2. Mayweather 2 point round because Castillo was deducted a point for punching during the break.
Rd9. Even. Roughly even punches landed. Ref spoils most of the action.
Rd10. Castillo2. Mayweather had the best of the early part of the round but Castillo got the last half. Then the ref deducted a point from Mayweather for elbows and shoving, but it was probably to even things and for Mayweather hitting after the bell in the previous round. Also, he should have given castillo a warning for punching Mayweather in the back.
    Rd11.even
    Rd12. Castillo.

And here's the first 3 rounds the second time.

R1: Looked like a Floyd round. I counted 12 punches landed for Floyd. He was missing a lot and most of the punches were just scoring and not doing damage but 3 or 4 were real effective punches.

Now I'll watch the round focusing on Castillo. I saw a lot of stuff missing or being blocked. 7 punches landed only one with any mus**** on it. A real feel 'em out round. Still a Floyd round.

Announcers say that Castillo threw 27 punches and landed 3. So either they are overestimating Floyd's defense or 4 of the punches I saw land were blocked.

R2: It looked like Mayweather landed 16 shots this round. Castillo slipped. A headbutt. Hard thudding shots by Castillo caught my eye. Now to rewatch looking for Castillo's action. Castillo only scores once in the first minute. Scores again before the headbutt. I count 15 punches total for Castillo including those ones in the middle of the round that someone yelled out “Damn!” and you heard them thudding across the ring. Several of his punches weren't pretty since he was whacking Mayweather to the body while clinched, but they still did damage. Based on those powerful shots around 1:17 on the clock I'd give the round to Castillo.

According to HBO Mayweather has landed 20 of 70 29%, Castillo has landed 12 of 59 20%. Probably not counting the punches in the clinch.

R3: 14 punches landed for Floyd. He's targeting the body with jabs which is strange for him, since he's usually a headhunter. Still, not a lot of hard shots thrown. Now watching Castillo. Nothing landed the first minute. At 1:20 on the clock Castillo backs Mayweather into a corner clinches and punches head and body. I only saw 6 punches land for Castillo, and the only effective ones were around the 30 second mark, a clear Floyd round.

Some of you should learn how to score, there are accurate scoring criteria breakdowns out there.

At the absolute worst case scenario after 6 it could, at worst be 4/2 fmj when in reality it was easily 5/1 with many seeing it 6 zip

Odd how Floyd get´s no credit for beating him in the rematch. Or even for taking it.
