Merchant said that was a reflex tap when Castillo got penalized for hitting after the ref said break.

Compubox has Castillo landing 110 punches out of 290 thrown for 38%, lmao.
They have Floyd landing 95 out of 282 for 34% Lmmfao. This is all through 8 rounds.

I think you like Mayweather more than I do, honestly. Only one of us is still making threads about him.

I scored the fight 8-4 Mayweather. Clear cut winner. Castillo had his moments. He landed mainly bodyshots, and a lot of them didn't land clean.

Who gives a **** about punchstat numbers produced by old men pushing on buttons trying to guage from a ringside seat what landed and what did not. Those numbers can be just as bad as an official judges verdict.

.......but if you wanted to go by punchstat numbers, you cant take the total punches landed and try to make a point on who the winner was.

If you want to make a case by punchstat numbers, you have to do so on a round by round basis.

For example, we all know Mayweather does'nt have a high workrate, so the rounds he normally wins don't produce a high number of punch connects.
Mayweather won the first 5 rounds on my card rather clearly, but I doubt the total number of punches he landed was over the roof.

Once Castillo got going in the second half, his workrate was much more than Mayweather's was through the first 5 rounds, so if you want to take the total punches landed as a means to find a winner, then Castillo won that fight rather comfortably.

Boxing isn't scored that way however. Each round is scored independently of the other and you cant take punches landed one particular round and credit them in a different round.

If you want to make a case for Castillo through punchstats, you have to bring out the individual stats on a round by round basis.

Total punchstats are useless in determining a winner, we all know Castillo dominated the last half of the fight being busy so of course he's going to have higher total punches landed in a punchstat sheet.

It was a close but clear cut win for Castillo, the exact opposite of the rematch.

Regardless of how one scored the first match, one thing is for sure, it's the fight
that turned Floyd into a cherrypicking genius. Never again would he put himself in a position where he could possibly lose a fight.

The main thing is Floyd beat every opponent that he fought as a pro. Whether you have him winning the first Maidana and Castillo fights or not.

    49-0 or 47-2. Wouldn't matter.

Harold also scored 115-111 for Pacquiao in the first Marquez fight.
Don't know of anyone outside of Pacquiao's family that had Pacquiao up in rounds in that fight.
As well, Harold also scored the Delahoya fight vs John John Molina for Molina!

When you quote that you're agreeing with Harold Lederman, you're actually tying a noose around your own neck. Most hardcore boxing fans have zero respect for Harold Lederman and view him as an inconsistent lousy fight judge.
