on those nights that he beat them it was about as close to looking like perfection as you can in boxing.:good no wasted movement.. count on it.
And people thought Corrales was gonna whoop on him too as I remember...Floyd was ranked 7 and Corrales 5 at that time!
man i remember watching the fight with gatti, and how floyd landed basically anything on him. brutal clinic.
He put on a clinic and basically stopped tow men who up to that point had never been stopped. Yeah Floyd cant punch, ****in idiots
Mgirt stupid game plan didnt help either, putting Gatti trying to box with Mayweather has got to be one of the worst gameplans in boxing history.
I don't rate the Gatti win as highly because Gatti was never going to make a fight of it against Floyd, we all knew that, but the Corrales win was something very special. A truly exceptional performance. However, I can think of better performances if you're talking about boxing perfection. Well actually, I shouldn't say "better" because they aren't definitively better, just better in my opinion. Mayweather-Corrales was so good that I wouldn't say that any other fights were definitively better, but there are fights that I think were better examples of boxing perfection.
he made Ivan Robinson look like Ike Williams for **** sake. not even the iraqui army would miss a target like Gatti.
