yea i agree on the corrales fight it was easily the high point of his career and his best performance he did what most thought he couldn't and ko a big strong undefeated corrales the gatti fight is sot so much robinson and ward beat him not to mention the beatdown oscar had already handed gatti and looked as good doing it a few years earlier
They were both his best performances in my view. His destruction of Gatti was almost as good as Robinson's destruction of LaMotta on 02/14/1951.
If you had been following boxing prior to that fight, you would have known that Gatti was WAY past his prime, and considering he had the most overrated trainer in his corner, was destined to lose. Infact, I even said that if Gatti was stupid enough to box, he would get massacred. PBF did look good, but I didn't rate him any higher for that fight.
thats cause you dont like to hear, youre trying to make the Gatti fight mean more than it did when it was just a glorified sparring session against a C-level fighter like Floyd said.
How did I try to make more than what it was? All I said was I can name a few. On those who haven't looked good against Gatti. Jesus you emo calm down.
We didn't know it. You weren't here back then and we had a poll before the fight and it was like 60-40 PBF. Many people here said Gatti was too big and he was going to KO PBF.:deal
