Its like that with all of Floyds fights ,until they all come up short and the flood gates open up with excuses.

I remember reading several boxing publications leading up to Mayweather/Gatti, and there were many "experts" picking Gatti to win.

I must admit there were more picks for Arturo Gatti than I thought there would be. Gatti was on a 5 fight winning streak going back to late 2002. In that streak he beat Micky Ward twice and the than unbeaten Leonard Dorin.
Seams that the main factor in picking Gatti over Floyd Mayweather Jr. Was the belief that at 30 Mayweather was getting old and that 140 would be too big for him.
Personal Opinion: While Gatti was never as good as Mayweather and no longer in his prime. He was still a very good boxer who was still dangerous. It is a very solid win for Mayweather.

These so called expert opinions can be meaningless sometimes. Seriously, I've seen fellow ESB posters make better judgements and predictions than some of those guys.

The people who publish these online/magazine articles, are often required to go for the underdog, so that it evens things out.

We even had people picking Marquez to beat Floyd for goodness sake!
