"Al Haymon is trying to make a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto for May 2, 2015. If that fight can't happen, then we will try Floyd Mayweather fight on April 25, 2015"

So....If Floyd wins that, will he be 147/154 and 160 lineal champ at the same time?

    My question still stands.

  6. No one wants that fight. We want Canelo Cotto.

When Floyd and Cotto fought the first time Mayweather wanted to use smaller gloves than cotto did

That's a good move for Mayweather. Low risk, huge reward.

Makes sense for Cotto with GGG as the interim Champ now, he can't avoid him no longer and GGG will try to get the fight after Murray for summertime...

Floyd wouldn't dare come up for the belt when Martinez was there

Now all of a sudden we get a rematch of a 10-2 9-3 fight for history

If Cotto end's up rematching Mayweather, I will go as far as to say something shady is going on. With Alvarez, Cotto can win. With Mayweather, it's very questionable. He's already going to get paid hefty if he fights Alvarez. And for what title? I hope not the middleweight title. That would be a joke considering Mayweather won't even attempt to defend it or win it meaningfully. He already beat Cotto, and beating him again won't prove nothing

This is my stance as well

I actually hate how Cotto moved up to essentially stage 147-154 lb title fights at 160

Cotto vs Jacobs, Quillen, or Golovkin in NYC are massive fights

Cotto went and fought a fighter who was past it at a weight he himself is not capable of fighting the top guys at. Now that gives another smoke and mirrors attempt for Mayweather to go and say he is the best. When he's already beaten Cotto but all of a sudden wants to rematch him at a weight he has never fought at for a championship. He won't stick around either if that's the case. Look at the wbc mandatory. Cotto=safe, Golovkin=morgue

    no thanks to this match

people don't realize this WAS NOT a close fight. all them cotto fans screaming & yelling when Cotto was missing punches from the shoulder rolling defense.
