If the fight is being pursued for real then it's not really about money but power. Floyd is saving Manny for his swan song. He can always get that fight and make big money. However if can get Cotto in April then there is no way Cotto will fight Canelo in May. By the time May rolls around again it will be his last fight and that's when Pac will be on the menu. It's Mayweather and Oscar at it again.

This is horrible news, floyd will never fight golovkin if he beats cotto. Wish these blown up lightweights would stay out of the middleweight division if they're only going to fight each other, have the fight at 154 or fight real middleweight contenders for ****s sake.

Mayweather and Pacquiao is never going to happen. We are talking about something that should have taken place FIVE years. It's time to move on from that.

I agree, though I think Arum prevented the fight not Manny himself.

I'd prefer to see Canelo vs Cotto by a mile, but this is not a bad fight. We've already seen it, though. I truly hope it's Canelo. That's a matchup we haven't seen yet.

I don't agree with this fight, cotto should defend his title against a true 160lb first. Atleast if it does get made, I hope its at the full 160lb weight.

*******s, Im glad these guys are around, they provide great comedy. When Cotto beat delvin all the

*******s quoted " this version of cotto would ko Floyd! Roach reversed the clock on cotto & Floyd would duck!"

now that the fight is being rumored they flip a coin and now say cotto is a cherry pick? lol.

While it's true that it should have taken place some time ago, the fact is that it didn't. I have always maintained that Pac was his last hurrah and I still believe that. If it doesn't happen then it is what it is.

When and who quoted that? People would rather see pacquiao-Mayweather rather than a rematch between cotto-Mayweather which was a UD win for Mayweather against cotto at 154.

It doesn't matter what weight class at this stage but it's going to be another Decision win for Floyd.

Why Mayweather having a rematch against Cotto who he had already defeated via UD at 154?

Boxing_master, that means every fight PAC takes is a cherry pick and don't give me your essay about how 'it's not a cherry pick because PAC wants to fight floyd' because I don't care. You don't know what happens behind the scenes and neither does anyone else, all we know for sure is that they aren't fighting each other next so therefore by your OWN logic, PAC is now a cherry picker.

You heard it from boxing_master folks, both floyd and PAC are cherry pickers. His words not mine.

Pacquiao is a better fight, but when people say **** like "this version of Cotto KO's Floyd, he'll duck him" then that doesn't make Cotto a cherry pick, at least for them. Me personally, I feel like it's the same Cotto.

Floyd only want to fight cotto to prove something against canelo attempt to steal his fighting date.

Notice I said "I don't agree with this fight" meaning I would not want to watch it either. As to who quoted this, just search cotto vs delvin & you can go through old threads to see who said this. various people claimed cotto would now ko Floyd.

I also agree that Floyd should fight Pac, like I said a few post back. Floyd already said "if he wins his next fight, we can see about making it happen" & Arum also confirmed there is talks. We cant call either pac or Floyd a duck, because Floyd has not secured a opponent & there has been no mention of Pac fighting any one else after. Lets wait & see what happens. Also, I absolutely think pac wants the fight, the only set back pac ever caused was him not taking the test, he has agreed to it now though. But now Arum also has to be pleased with the split, Im sure pac would fight Floyd for less, but pleasing arum is a whole different story.
