I see alot of people on here saying that Floyd has lost alot that he looked vulnerable etc. I honestly thought Floyd looked good out there i much rather him dig in deep for the wins now instead of coasting to victories. Lets give Cotto some credit he has the right style that will give Floyd problems 9/10 times, lets not let age or mileage get involved in this brillant match up. He stood his ground with cotto and at times recieved the worst of it. I ve read on the past on here that Floyd needs to actually earn a win on his resume to gain respect and when he does it, he gets ripped for it. :huh
great fight. great win vs the best 154lb fighter in the world. It was great to see him dig deep and at times fought in a phone booth with cotto. I enjoyed the fight and was worth the PPV buy!!!
There two to three times where Floyd didn't take the openings he would have in the past. Cotto(e)'s guard is good at limiting the effectiveness of Floyd's potshotting style though. A tight guard makes it quite a task for potshots to penetrate. Floyd's offense also didn't look as good against Oscar, who was great at parrying that night. The first 1 or 2 punches in a combo typically open a guard up.
