What do you guys think of this fight in the future?

If Cotto looks good against Foreman and wins next month, and Pacquiao and Mayweather can't agree on the blood testing... I think this is a possible fight.

At this point in Floyd's career, he's only fighting boxers with big names that will pull in the casual boxing fan. Sergio Martinez, Andre Berto, and Paul Williams don't fall in that category. Who else is there besides Cotto?

Cotto loses by lopsided decision. Doesn't matter when/where they fight.

This fight in early 08 after Cotto beat Mosley and Mayweather KOed Hatton would have been huge. Its still big now but not nearly as big as it could have been. If Cotto look good against Foreman why not I would still like to see it yeah.

ya i was thinking along these lines...it all depends on how Cotto looks against Foreman..plus he has a solid trainer in Stew so i dont know could be a great fight.

No, Cotto is a shot fighter now and that fight doesn't really matter now at this point. He should have fought Cotto before he lost his 0 when it really mattered.

It'll still bring money, more than somebody like Berto anyways. But Cotto gets ****ed up.

It could happen. Floyd could/would have ripped him a new ass no matter when the fight was made.

If Pac/PBF doesnt happen this is the next best fight I want to see pbf in, if Cotto looks impressive against Foreman.

I think the beating Pacquiao put on him deterred this from being a mega huge fight for Floyd.

Vice versa if Pacquiao decided to fight Shane.

Honestly, unless Floyd decided decided to go up and fight a big name in the supermiddleweights, any fight he takes in the lower weight won't draw that much excitement (besides Pacquiao of course). There just isn't anybody that can draw the casual fan and also has a chance at beating Floyd. The way Floyd embarrased Shane, he seems nearly unbeatable at the lower weight classes now... the casual fan doesn't wanna pay to watch a lopsided fight, they want a fight that gets them nervous in thinking that he may or may not lose the fight.

Ideal situation would be Pac next, while Berto and Cotto face off to be next in line for Floyd if he were to beat Pac.

He'll do a hell of a lot better than Mosley and Marquez.

I agree with this. With Cotto's body attack, he could turn out a performance similar to PBF-Castillo I, in which Castillo was very busy to the body.

Mayweather would still whoop his ass at 154 easily.

    Definitely a decision.
