**** de la hoya. he honestly has no business fighting anymore. i know this would bring more exposure to boxing but damn....this is mayweathers prime. cottos prime. this is their era. their own lil crop in the division. they got cintron, williams, margo, this is their time....i want to see them bang it out WITH EACH OTHER. i dont know......just wanted to rant and im sure someone can enlighten me and make me realize otherwise....but foR now i just dont agree on hoya vs cotto or hatton...and even pac...that would be STUPID.
Agreed... De La Hoya is a big name and a future HOFer, but he's also 3-3 in his last 6 fights. Plus he is relatively inactive and coming off of a loss. But boxing is a business. I would much rather see Mayweather-Cotto. To me, that is THE FIGHT to be made in all of boxing.
Yep. If De La Hoya takes Cotto and ruins the potential Mayweather match, it will be a damn shame. That said, Cotto probably knocks Oscar out, as Oscar will be coming forward to fight with Cotto and he won't be able to handle it like Mosley did. In that sense, it could make the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight even bigger after Cotto handled Oscar, but I don't want to wait and risk it not happening. Skip to the main event.
true. if floyd wins against hatton and a cotto-floyd showdown does'nt happen, the fans & the sport are going to be robbed of probably one of the biggest potential match ups in our generation. two of the divisions best need to fight fight each other for professional boxing to keep it's legitimacy as a sport.
