I agree, let's not all jump the gun yet until we have official announcements. If the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is going to be announced, then from a promotional view the weekend of the Superbowl would be a great time to make that announcement.

As far as Cotto vs Canelo, I believe Cotto was never game for fighting on May 2nd, especially if the possibility of Mayweather vs Pacquiao was also set to happen on that date. Cotto is no fool. He does not want put any of his PPVs head to head against Mayweather vs Pacquiao. If the fight with Canelo does happen, I would look for PR Parade in NY. Fight could either be in MSG or even Yankee Stadium.

We also should be looking at the possibility of a Mayweather vs Cotto II fight for September, if Mayweather gets past Pacquiao.

I'm just trying to be the optimist here, but if any fight except for Mayweather vs Pacquiao gets announced, then we will truly know who the coward is.

I don't believe May will pass up Pac. Too much money on the table. I seriously believe they are pretty much done with this deal and they are just working on the commercial that will be played during the superbowl halftime. This is the superfight of the last 15 years and they need to present it as such. I'm sure there are tons of confidentiality agreements flying about and Cotto got wind of it. Alvarez probably didn't. He needs to chill out with May 2. But, I hope he still leaves Cotto in the rain and fights GGG instead.

GGG will become the next Hagler if he keeps fighting midgets and avoids a champion like ward

That's probably partially why Pac is in the US, to film a commercial?

I have been watching a lot more MMA in the last couple of years. This is the kind of thing that turns me off boxing.

Has it been confirmed he's fighting Cotto next, or are you guys jumping to conclusions again?

Honestly, I don't know why you people keep getting your hopes up. You'd think you'd learn by now.

Boxing fans really are gullible. :-(

Too small for Golovkin, but willing to fight for the MW title? That's Floyd to the tee.
