He knocked him down 4 times in 2 fights and i felt was close.

Were talking Cotto. He nearly finished on his feet against Pac and you witnessed the beatdown he took.

PLEASE U THINK PBF WILL PUT A BEATDOWN ON HIM LIKE THAT.

I think FMJ would have served him up. Cotto was getting served by Judah. Hitting the canvas and gushing blood. His warrior spirit and crotch combos brought him back in that one. Now there is a question mark on who would win? Come on. This is a covert Manny pump fest.

That question is better framed "When would Cotto have lost by the smallest margin?" Then a poll: Pre Judah? Post Judah? Post Mosely? Post Margarito(Now)? All versions would have lost. How badly is the question.

Cotto right now needs some rest, a new team with a fresh start and leave Bob Arum. You have two out of the three fights as wars with Margarito and Clottey. A horrible cut that is not fully heal, but your promoter gives you a fight with Manny a few months after. It doesn't help at all. Esp. when weight is also a factor. Right now Mayweather will win, but a hungry Cotto prior to his Judah and Mosley days, would give anyone trouble.

Pac beats ppl up... Mayweather outpoints/ outboxes them... simple as that. Two very talented and very different fighters.

I also believe PBF would have beaten Cotto by decision at 140 or 147. Cotto would have his moments and of course he would not get KO'ed by PBF. PBF is too slick. A lot of posters keep mentioning how Zab was doing so well against PBF in the beginning. Yes, in the beginning. This is why PBF is so good. He figures you out and if anything, I believe Zab would have gotten stop if it were not for the nut job. PBF was hitting him at will just before the nut job. Well, that is Zab. Cotto would have gone the whole twelve rounds.

Cotto is still the same fighter pre margarito, mosley and judah as he is now. If anything against pacquiao he showed it. Cotto still gives PBF hell for 12 rounds, think about a bigger version of castillo. PBF by decision but remember it was manny who stopped cotto the other night NOT Mayweather.

As a huge Cotto fan, I beg to differ... Cotto at this moment including his fights against Clottey and Manny is a huge difference from his fights with Mosley and Judah. He has abandon his persistent attack in the ring(aggressiveness) and even has allow fighters to come off the ropes. Videos could prove the difference. You could clearly see Cotto is not as hungry as before. He needs a new start, new team and a (promoter that actually cares about him) No need to be put in wars after wars and then with disadvantages.

Its not a huge difference, he just fights more intelligently now. Persistently attacking your opponent isnt going to work against Manny pacquiao level fighters.
