I now want to see this fight. Cotto should get Oscar on the phone and go with Goldenboy behind Arums back and make this fight happen with Floyd. Just to **** Arum off.

this is such bull****. i would be glad to see cotto get the opportunity to fight mayweather, but i could have sworn mayweather wasn't fighting pac because he just wasn't "focused on boxing right now". what a bunch of ****ing bull****.

    Relax, Floyd ain't fighting Cotto.

Miguel fails to meet one key requirement, he is under 35!

to compare ppv numbers against pac/margo is a gd choice but dangerous at the same time

Don't think Arum really has Cotto's best interest at hands. He got his brains beat in by a guy with loaded gloves, and then got his brains beat in by Pacman. If your promoter had your best interest at hands, would he ever be talking about a rematch with someone that demolished you so easily; in both Pacman and Margarito. At the same time it's Cotto's fault too for not speaking up and saying anything. Yes the Yuri Foreman fight was good for a confidence builder considering Foreman could never hurt Cotto, but a cupcake sandwiched in between some career ending fights isn't cool.

Now if he was to fight Mayweather, the only positive out of that would probably be that Cotto loses, but won't get beatdown to a bloody pulp. He'd be taken to school, but it would more than likely go the distance, and with a 3rd L to his record, he probably wouldn't be in the big money fights anymore, at least for awhile if he chooses to keep fighting. But, regardless of the money split, he should be set to retire with all the money he could earn from this fight alone.
