People say Duran is and he probably was the greatest lightweight ever, but floyd wins this.

It's possible Mayweather could learn enough to say out of Duran's way and increase his output enough to win a second or third fight with Duran, but certainly not the first fight. Mayweather thinks too much of himself and his abilities and he most definitely would lose the first fight.

Come on now. Floyd is an easy fight for nobody. But I bet you think Pacquiao beats him don't you :yep
:D yeah it's cool. Floyd fans have nothing to be upset about. It's been a good couple of months for us

actually, that's an urban myth. he never lost at 135, he lost a catchweight non title bout he didn't train for at LWW though.

Duran is too technically complete, physically talented, and relentless for Mayweather to out-box or out-fight.

Floyd is more physically talented and is at least technically as good. Wasn't very seasoned but was plenty cagey for a 25 year old guy with no wars under his belt.

I gotta say Duran, but it's tough to say, when Leonard played it safe against Duran it caused Duran to look a bit primitive. That being said there were a lot of factors leading to that, not just a brilliant boxing exhibition, so tough to say. But I gotta go with the greatest lightweight ever Duran on this one, but if they fought numerous times Floyd would take him a few times. Maybe like 2 out of 5.

Mayweather has never shown the integration of offense and defense that Duran showed, whilst being insanely aggressive. Duran was amazingly gifted in the reflexes and talent department, even if his hands weren't as fast as Floyd's. Duran's technical skills weren't utilized in the tradition "boxer" or "slick boxer" sort of way, but he had technical skills superior to Mayweather with his offensive attack, infighting, body punching, feinting, use of angles, and great defense on the attack. The only real edge for Mayweather I see is handspeed and footspeed, but Duran was extremely fast coming forward though.
