+ When we talk matchups, we talk about prepared versions of each fighter, rather than the version of Duran who'd lose fights he was meant to win.

Bad day to read the forum.

If I'd had a penny for every id1 ot saying that castillo won to mayweather and that is not able to say which rounds he won, I would be the richest man on earth.

Hope tomorrow will be more interesting threads. Nite nite.

PBF was 37 at 147 when he fought Maidana and he still beat him twice he didn't flat out lose like Duran did.:deal
Duran can't deal with De Jesus he can't deal with PBF. You see how that works?

PBF was injured going into that fight on top of that it was his first fight at a new weight class against a proven champ. Even though he still won. Duran lost to De Jesus at his best weight but people love to make excuses about it or flat out ignore it like they do for all of Duran's loses.

I stand by my statement PBF is a bad match up for Duran he hold an extreme reach and reflexes advantage in the fight not to mention movement with ATG defense. Duran isn't God he could be outboxed and PBF is the man to do it at 135 or 147.

The last time I checked PBF was 48-0 and 4-0 against Maidana and JLC. I have no idea what you're talking about and if you refuse to live in the real world stop addressing me.

Of course and to Duran fans he can do no wrong, he's some God who managed to get KTFO by Hearns and lost to every fighter in the fab 4 including Benitez but yeah he's the GOAT.:nut They overrate his successes and down play and have excuses for his failures you can't have it both ways. You can't do that just because you like him.

15 rounds Duran without a doubt in my mind, 8-10 rounds Floyd has a chance.

When Duran is on, he beats Floyd in my opinion.

There were fights where Duran just did not train enough.Floyd may get something done against that Duran but not an in shape Duran.

No boxer dominated his division like Duran did when he was a lightweight (1973-1980) and this is not an overstatement.

Are you really going to criticize Duran for being KTFO by that perfectly timed, full leverage, flush right hand landed by one of the best P4P punchers ever? Seriously Pimp?

I'm not saying Duran was perfect, but if you're going to criticize him for being stopped by that punch, then I can only assume you don't give Hagler any credit for beating Hearns.

Regardless, there ain't many guys in boxing history below 160 who could have stood up to that thunderbolt of a shot.
