Mayweather vs Forrest at 154: Forrest wins.

Mayweather's defensive style will play right into the hands of Forrest who is fast, rangy, and fights out of a defensive counterpunching position.

In order to beat Forrest, you have to bring the fight right at him like a pitbull, something that Mosley failed to do in the first two fights which is why he lost.

If you lay back on the ropes or you play defense the entire time, the bigger man, will eventually break you down and take your speed away as you'll find that it's almost impossible to counterpunch them.

This is especially true when you got a guy like Forrest who is a skilled boxer.

Mayweather will find out how difficult it is to land cleanly on Forrest, get cornered and either get knocked out or be forced to literaly run the entire fight, while delivering the occasional but inneffective counter punching that will likely be negated by Forrest's reach, stance, and speed.

If Mayweather wants to step back in the ring and he can't find any challenges worthy for him at 147 which his most ardent fans would have you believe, he could step in with Forrest and show if he really is still the same fighter that stepped in with Corrales that was capable of turning on the offense when necessary or he's a relatively one dimensional defensive fighter that will take absolutely no risks.

To beat Forrest, he'll have to throw combinations and he'll have to take risks. If he lays back on the ropes, it's very likely that he's going to get knocked out.

On the other hand, I think Mosley in his recent fights has shown more versatility than Mayweather, although this does have a lot to do with his opposition, as he brought the fight right to Margarito ala Hopkins vs Pavlik.

I think Mosley will use this same tactic in a fight against Forrest if there were to be a third fight and has a very strong chance to beat a guy that pretty much nobody gives him a chance against.

Since, it's is very unlikely that Mayweather will come out of retirment, the Forrest option is on the table for Mosley, and personally if it gets like that, I think he should take it.

Mosley can beat Forrest, but I'm not so sure about Mayweather.

I agree that prime Forrest at welterweight beats PBF any day of the week. He just has the style to give PBF fits. I mean, he beat prime Mosley who was very fast so he should have no problem beating PBF.

Today's version of Forrest also has a shot to beat PBF. Only problem he is not as fast as back in his prime and PBF is much faster than him. However, PBF is not very effective at 154 pounds.

Regardless, PBF does not have the balls to fight Forrest at 154 pounds.
