Mayweather vs. Guerrero is Possibly Next!

My thoughts exactly. How in the hell is anyone supporting this fight and even thinking it would be competitive? Martinez or Pac. That's all there is for Floyd.

 

So not only would Guerrero be moving up from 135 to 147, but he just had shoulder surgery with a long lay off. Is this supposed to be a joke? Where's Paul Spadafora when you need him. **** Morales would offer a tougher fight with Floyd. I hope it happens because it'll tank in ppv sales.

 

Perfect for Floyd. Look at his record at welter. He only fought 3 guys out of seven who were established at the weight.

He can pass it off as a tuneup for Pac/Martinez.

I've been calling this fight since Schaefer first suggested it after the Katsidis fight.

It's clear Golden Boy and Floyd are looking to exploit their relationship with each other for all they can get. Their intent is to make a killing off every Golden Boy fighter that it is possible to sell a fight with.

Morales might not be plausible, that's why they it threw it out there so when Floyd does sign for Guerrero it will be more accepted in comparison. Khan, Maidana I could see happening though. Then I expect them to move on to Canelo.

 

How's Guerrero more plausible than Morales? Guerrero-Mayweather doesn't even have a selling point for the ppv's. It's not like Guerrero's ever beaten another major fighter. Maidana was a big step up for him. What are they going to hype, how he took a year off because his wife got cancer?

the only way this fight ever happens is if floyd plans of fighting in feb and may and if so Guerrero is a good opponenet for a stay busy fight in Feb as long as in May it's vs Pac, Martinez, or Khan

this is like the rumours of Floyd fighting Matthew Hatton, Spadafora, Morales etc...... never gonna happen

 

He's a highly rated southpaw, fans are calling for Floyd to fight the two most highly rated southpaws Pac and Martinez. It can be billed as another tuneup for those guys. If Ortiz could help Floyd sell 1.3M PPV in a short promotion, anyone of these Golden Boy fighters can do similar numbers with the HBO hype machine fully behind them. And his wife getting cancer would be a good story, presenting a great motivationary factor driving Guerrero.
