Around 2000-2001 you had Floyd Mayweather Jnr, Erik Morales, Barerra and Naseem Hamed all between 126 and 130 pounds. It was a shame that none of the featherweights stepped up in weight around the time and faced Pretty boy Floyd.

I personally believe that Floyd at the time due to his natural size and speed advantage over the three fighters would allow him to dominate all three fighters.

I think he would of outbox Naseem easily and probably scored a late round TKO. Naseem was slower than Floyd and would be very easy to hit for a sharp shooter like Floyd.

Against Morales the start would of been cautious...but due to Erik's fantastic chin he would survive the fight. However Erik never had a great defence and therefore Floyd would be able to potshot all night to a wide UD.

I think against barrera Floyd would have been a terrible matchup stylewise for Barerra. As a result TKO between 10-12 for Floyd. Barrerra would have been too unable to cope with the speed coupled with the accuracy. I think Barrera would walk onto to some huge shots.

I have not mentioned Marquez because I think the fight they had recently would have gone a similiar way if they had met at a lower weight class. It might have been more comeptitive but Floyd's speed was better (at the lower weight classes) therefore it would most likely lead to a similar result.

Imagine if Floyd had just one of these names on his resume his all time standing would be soo much higher that it is now.

Opinions please on how you think the fight would turn out??

Floyd would have beaten them all, he was to big and to good at 130.

Hamed - yeah he would likely eat a late TKO
Morales has a decent chance but PBF was too fast and more active compared to current PBF
MAB - this would actually be a good fight. MAB is crafty enough to handle Floyd's style and speed. This can go either way in 2001 IMO.

I cant see any of them beating him at 130 not only did he have a size advantage over them he also had a style advantage over the three.

Hamed has a slim puncher's chance but that about it,think Hamed-Barrera but ten times worse for Hamed who gets stopped in eight rounds.

Morales was a warrior and he would never stop trying but he would lose almost every round like he did against Raheem.

As for MAB i can see him winning a couple of rounds but Floyds speed and specially his right hand would be too much for MAB who either gets stopped late or loses by UD.

Hamed has more than a slim chance , for a FW Hamed was a terrifying puncher , he is being judged harshly based on Barrera. Hamed barely trained for that fight and he had travelled way too far up his owbn arse by that point. Im more a Barrera fan than I am Hamed but that wasnt the Prince at anything like his best that night.

True Floyd would be a strong favourite but if he was focused for it Hamed could definetley do him harm.

    Hamed getting tko'd :rofl

**** he never came close to getting stopped ffs he lost one fight which everyone knows he nevr trained for.

Hameds problem was he relied on his power to much and in the end negated everything else.

To judge a fighter on purely one fight is down right stupid.

Do we judge tyson for losing to williams ?

Do you judge holyfield for losing to moorer :patsch
Hamed was extreamy quick in his prime and p4p the hardest puncher in boxer at the time. Also he reigned for five years which is no mean feat, its a shame hameds ego took over.

Hamed may have dropped a decision to mayweather but no way does he get stopped

mayweather a decison over hameed, he has no chance in hell getting a k0 over the prince

if anything floyd could get k0d imo

he would lose to barrera and moralis, there is a reason he ducked them

Floyd beats them all too much lateral movement and speed for them to cope with. He could literally box circles around them at that weight he was that good at 130.

If Manny in his less developed form could beat Barrera and Morales than a size advantaged and more likely to trade young Floyd would do the same maybe even easier and Hamed had his share of flaws if Floyd stayed away from the power he'd win

Mayweather wanted to fight Hamed back when Mayweather was junior lightweight but Hamed refuse cause he knows Mayweather would easily beat him.

at 130 floyd had super Serious speed and power that is where the bulk of his 25 K.O's were at I dont give any of them a legit chance Hamed played too damn much and because he could punch, floyd would not let him get close, maybe erik would lose UD cause of heart maybe barrera would have gotten a couple of rounds because he knew and used every trick in the book but floyd REACH (which was like paul williams at 130) and speed was too much for any of them, alot of boxing fans truly don't remember how avoided he was at that weight.

I bet you thought mayweather was going to steam roller castillo when in truth he got a questionable decision to say the least, styles make fights.

Corralles had a dodgey beard where hamed had a solid one :patsch
