I believe so....Mayweather right now is number 1 and Hatton is top 10(arguably to 5) on everyones list. Both are champions in their respective weights and former champs in others....are undefeated and have beaten other champions along the way....this is the only fight this year that involves two top ten pound for pounders in their prime. The loser IMO still deserves a place in the top 10

    my p4p list for now
    1)Mayweather
    2)Pacquiao
    3)Calzaghe
    4)Hopkins
    5)J.M. Marquez
    6)Ricky Hatton
    7)Israel Vazquez
    8)Winky Wright
    9)Rafael Marquez
    10)Ivan Calderon

Most likely, although if Hatton wins, there is a case to put Manny Pacquiao or the winner of Calzaghe/Kessler on top of the pound for pound list. But whoever wins it, to me at least, is the P4P best in boxing.

    I'm not so sure.

If PBF wins, then he is the definite #1...but if Hatton wins, I don't know if he has done what it takes to be #1. It all depends on the manner in which he beats PBF, and how people account for that win over PBF in his resume.

Although if Hatton DOES win, then the only guys who I can see giving him a run for #1 are Pacquiao and JMM...It comes down to how people rate his resume in comparison to theirs.

If Hatton wins he should be either 2 or 3.

I agree with this, then if he goes on to beat another top welter in fine fashion then he would have a strong case for # 1.

if hatton after moving up a weight to fight the p4p #1 who everyone says has a style all wrong for hatton beats him how can hatton not be #1, having already beaten a top 3 p4p in koysta.

either **** off or answer the question. nobody said hatton WAS going to win. ****ing hell, you get a period over the mere thought of floyd losing, what would you do if he actually lost? probably go all emo on us.

So what it was a couple years ago? Remind us all when the last time Floyd BEAT a top P4Per.

Anyway, if Hatton won, I doubt he'd jump to #1. Can't deny the work Pac has done. And no ****in Way does Calzaghe get #1 is he beats Kessler and Mayweather loses.

If Hatton puts a beatdown on Floyd, he should be #1. A slim SD or UD victory and we will see PacMan as #1 and Ricky #2.
