    If Hatton wins he's number one. If it's a draw(my tip!!) Hatton is joint nummber one. If Hatton loses he pretty much stays were he is in the ratings as few expect him to win anyway!!

    Yeah, for me it would be. I have Hatton pretty high anyway, i'd be happy to see him at the #1 spot if he wins.

    I'd be suprised if that happened...but it's not impossible.

    If Mayweather wins he'll obviously keep his P4P title.

    If Hatton wins he'll be #2 or #3.

    It really depends on other Bouts. If Calzaghe Dominates Kessler then Hatton wins. I think Joe will be 1 not hatton.

    If you're not including fights from before 2 years ago, then Mayweather isn't #1. Beating an old DLH, Baldomir, Judah, Gatti, mitchel and Bruseles isn't a good record.

    Pacquiao would take the top spot, as he actually has wins over decent opposition in the last 24 months.

    Put differently, if the Hatton-Mayweather winners squares off against the Mosley-Cotto winner, what happens in the P4P charts?

    Of course, there are different ways of looking at this, and various outcomes to consider.

    But does the last man standing deserve the #1 spot? Or does it depend on other factors?

    It depends on other factors like what If Calzaghe Dominates Kessler and Pavlik in that time then who do oyu throw at number 1. Also in that Box off Rumsfield I favor cotto.

    Okay, so let us assume Cotto beats Mosley and follows it up with a win over Mayweather.

    Let us further assume that Calzaghe does dominate Kessler and follows it up with a win over Pavlik.

    Meanwhile, let's assume Pacquiao beats a couple of guys...say, Guzman and JMM.

    What then?

    thats your opinion. Hopkins was undefeated 11 years lost twice in fights he could have won and has beaten Winky Wright, and Antonio Tarver.

    i can agree with that, I dont think he shoots right up to #1. If he beats another top welter, say the winner of miguel vs shane. Thn he would have a strong case to be #1. But dont think he takes over solely as the best fighter in the world from that 1 W. IMO
