    Just watched highlights of both fights they were great....for their time this is what seperates the greats from the very goods

    I had Judah up 4-1 until the 6th round and the smarter hungrier fighter won...guts allways is the difference when everything else is close to pae great fight

    Mayweather=Leonard
    Both guys mixed intangibles with god given gifts and technique and found ways to win against difficult style match ups

    Judah=Benitez

    all the tools speed reflexes, good power and counterpunching, yet erratic from performance to performance

    everyone please watch both fights...great watches

    How did you have Judah up 4-1 after 5 rounds? I thought Floyd definitely won rounds 3 and 5.

    and round 1 could have gone either one, but 3 and 5 were clear Floyd rounds

    Mayweather vs Judah is one of my favourite Mayweather bouts, as Judah was able to be competitive with Floyd without using the pressure strategy that everyone falls in love with. Instead he was actually outboxing Floyd on the outside due to his speed, southpaw stance and sneaky counters. I've never seen anyone do that to Floyd, before or since, so it makes for an interesting experience. In the early rounds, Judah looked just as quick, if not even a hair quicker, than a prime Floyd. Floyd was technically knocked down in the second round, stunned by a big straight left in the fourth, and had to eat a handful of sharp counters as well as a few body shots before he began dominating Judah.

    As for comparing it to Leonard/Benitez...I don't really see that comparison, as Benitez was known for his defensive mastery. If anything, you'd think that Floyd-Benitez makes for a better comparison. Leonard doesn't fight like Floyd, either -- he was known for his lovely combinations, not for pot-shotting or defence. He was more of an aggressive boxer-puncher, while Floyd is mainly a defensive counter-puncher.

    Both Floyd and Leonard struggled somewhat, but big difference Floyd struggled more even Judah was robbed of a knockdown while Leonard finished with style vs an ATG in his prime.

    Judah was definitely faster than Mayweather. I actually thought Mayweather looked kinda slow in that fight by his standards. Round 2 and 4 were really good rounds for Judah. He did a great job of countering the **** out of Floyd. Unfortunately for Judah, rounds 5-12 were a completely different fight.

    check the tape Leonard had problem early on with Benitez and purposly head butted him in the third or fouth round, caused a cut that gave him and advantage. For me that was a big turn off with Leonard he was a great boxer but that head butt also made him a cheat in his first big fight.

    And you have to remember during this time Mayweather would always start slow before picking up the pace towards the end of the fight. I had not dout the Floyd would get Judah. Judah was never the same after the ordeal with Tyszu.

    Zab won the first 4 rounds and the last. The second, with a knockdown.

    he was the same, he isn't that good. talent is very common, what's uncommon is people who are able to handle it and those who can and are willing to improve on it

    I was shocked at first considering the gap in greatness between someone like Benitez and Judah, but on second thought, the rhythm of the fights aren't a bad comparison to make at all.

    Would definitely recommend watching the whole Leonard-Benitez fight right through.

    You won't be able to appreciate what a complete performance from Leonard it was just by watching the highlights.

    Then you might see where your comparison falls down...Some minor similarities but two different fights.
