So basically there are several chances for this mismatch to be derailed before it even arrives.

yeah not surprised by any of this.

9 or 10 months out again and then fight khan.

    goldenboy fighter.

    easy to put together.

    khan's a big name.

    big payday for all concerned.

it was never gonna be someone too dangerous like sergio martinez for eg.

    :good

    Khan can actually win that.

Why waste all this nice progress he's made by simply cashing out against someone so far superior? (unless the plan is to wait until 2013 or so and bank on Mayweather's talents and reflexes starting to erode...)

There are so many contradictions with what you posted and what I've heard and witnessed

We all do. It is two powerful guys with glass jaws. At least Ortiz.

It's far out enough that Khan could get 2-3 more fights in the mean time, and Amir is improving with each training camp he goes through.....

but still. If this is to happen immediately, its a mismatch. Khan needs to get significantly better over the next 12 months (best case scenario). Even then, it still likely wouldn't be enough. And I'm a Khan fan.

floyd will be suicide for khan in his fist outing at 147lb.. If he is serious about it then he should step up to ww now and prepare accordingly. Even then he looses.

This was the obvious next step for Floyd.

    No surprise here.

^ Totally agree. Definitely funny regarding the 'verbal agreement'.
