Mayweather vs Kirkland @ 154

People are going to say who is Kirkland and the KO loss he had with Ishida will be focused on. Of course they will try and promote it with Kirkland's great performance against Angulo. I believe Kirkland will come in to try to box and get outclass and then he will throw bombs and hit air. After getting so frustrated and starts to get exausted and eventually get stopped. Not from power, just being overwhelmed. For that to happen, I rather see PBF fight Bradley.

 

Floyd would destroy him.

 

kirkland vs williams or k9 or cotto or alvarez.
mayweather vs alvarez or cotto or martinez.

 

Kirkland can cut off the ring, he would do it for 12 rounds, once he gets him on the ropes he would rough him up all night.

 

Floyd would probably lay on the ropes on purpose at different points in the fight

 

Sheer physicality, this fight doesn't go the distance, I wouldn't want to ever "bet against" Floyd, but I just can't see him standing up to Kirkland at this stage of his career. James would be 168-170ish on fight night, I can't see Floyd keeping him away. If Floyd can get through the first 3 rounds and if Kirkland punches himself out I could see him winning but that's easier said than done.

 

Terrible fight for Kirkland... Mayweather is too fast and too accurate, he would time him coming in wildly and he would be embarrassingly KO'd again.

 

Floyd has only weighed 150lbs once against Oscar and he wasn't as fast.... He needs to stay at 147... Fighting guys at 154 is a joke... Can he? Sure... but whats the point of bloated and slow Floyd? You guys want him to lose that bad I guess....

 

You think a fight vs a guy who was blasted shitless in one round recently...is better than floyd vs Alvarez? :huh

I hate to break the news.... but Kirkland isn't actually very good, at anything.

 

Wouldn't mind seeing this. Floyd would probably box his ears off when James begins to slow down after the 4th.

 

Kirkland would force Mayweather to use his legs and open up a lot because he's strong as an ox and a ****ing brute. I'd be curious to see how Kirkland takes Mayweather's quick right hands he doesn't see coming. Oscar's legs dipped once IIRC and he has a much better chin than Kirkland.

 

I think what you really wanna see is Mayweather get his ass kicked, and aint nothing wrong with that.However I feel that Canelo should fight Kirkland, after all that is his weight class and he is the so-called champion. On the other hand I dont feel that Pac is a legitimate 147 pounder and Mayweather has too big of an advantage. He will truely kick Pacs ass and I think deep down everybody knows it. I would like to see Mayweather fight Mike Jones because Mike is an excellent welter and his height and style would give Mayweather some problems. Mayweather and Kirkland? HELLLL NAW!!!:bbb

 

Awesome to hear people still think Kirkland is garbage. Not in a lifetime would Floyd Mayweather get into the ring with someone like Kirkland. He's too big and aggressive for Floyd to handle. Floyd refused at the time a career high pay day to fight Margarito because he was too big and aggressive. Kirkland's even worse for Floyd. It's not a fair fight due to the size difference, Kirkland would rip Floyd apart.
