Mayweather vs Klitschko

Wlad wins the Clinchfest of the Century (I'm a fan of both fighters so I'm only calling how I see it )

 

klitchko can knock people out.

 

Klitscko at least tries to KO people and doesn't run. His problem is he grabs (something Floyd has being doing more of lately) but aside from this, Klitscko usually hurts opponents. Floyd, runs and boxes so IMO more boring. I rather see Wlad KO someone down than Floyd make opponents hit air and barely throw himself. Floyd's fights are best described as inactive fights whereas Wlad's fights are best describes and uncompetitive, dirty but brutal. He usually produces a brutal beating; credit to jennings for how he avoided one.

 

Both Klitschko and Mayweather have fighting styles that, while effective, are contrary to the spirit of the sport. Thanks to these two, I think the governing bodies need to re-examine how rounds are judged and refereed.

One fix is to promote more rounds being judged even when the fighters don't engage. The other is to have Refs more liberally deduct points for strategic holding. When holding is a bigger part of your strategy than punching, then the sport is no longer boxing. Just my opinion.
